THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Vernon Way (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 7 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Vernon Way (D4001) Guildford which extends from its junction with Southway (D4001) to the western property boundary line of “No. 52 Vernon Way”. The effect of this order will be suspending the Vernon Way (D4001), Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023 from its junction with Southway (D4001) to its junction with Linkway (D4001). 
Alternative Route – Southway (D4001), Fairfield Rise (D4001) and Linkway (D4001). The Order is required to allow Network Plus to carry out new water connections works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 months period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 07 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford. Alternative Route: (1) Turn Left onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, (A246) York Road, and (A320) Stoke Road; (2) Turn Left onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, at roundabout take third exit back onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, at roundabout take third exit back onto (A322) Woodbridge Road. This Order is required to facilitate access to the manhole cover for maintenance works for, or on behalf of Enviromontel. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 9.30pm and 5am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 February 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Ockham Lane (D6874) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 07 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockham Lane (D6874) Cobham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ockham Lane Nurseries” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Highfield”. Alternative Route: (D6874) Ockham Lane, (C43) Old Lane, (C42) Horsley Road, (C42) Downside Road, (D6873) Plough Lane, and (D6874) Ockham Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new customer electrical connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 07 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4019) St Johns Road to its junction with (D4019) Downing Avenue. Alternative Route: (D4019) Raymond Crescent and (D4019) St Johns Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 February 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Church Road (B3121) Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 07 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Church Road (B3121) Addlestone. Alternative Route: (A318) High Street, (A318) Chertsey Road, (A317) St Peters Way, (A320) Guildford Road, (B3121) Murray Road, and (B3121) Spinney Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Flambard Way (A3100) Godalming Temporary Banned Left Turn Order 2024
On 07 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound in the dedicated left-hand lane of Flambard Way (A3100) Godalming from turning left into (D5419) Woolsack Way. Alternative Route: (A3100) Flambard Way, (D5419) Catteshall Lane, and (D5419) Woolsack Way. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 nights between the hours of 7pm and 5am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibitions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 7 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy which extends from its junction with Pirbright Road (A324) to the southeastern property boundary line of “Longerend Farm”. Alternative Route – Hunts Hill Road (D60), Guildford Road (A323) and Pirbright Road (A324) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Horsham Road (B2126) Abinger Hammer Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 7 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (B2126) Abinger Hammer which extends from its junction with Raikes Lane to its junction with Pasture Wood Road. This Order is required to enable Freeflow TM to facilitate blockage clearing works and/or excavation works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Miles Hill, Holmbury Lane, Ockley Road, Etherley Hill, Forest Green Road, Stane Street, Beare Green Road, Deepdene Avenue, Reigate Road, High Street, West Street, Westcott Road, Guildford Road, Felday Road and A24 Horsham Road.

Ockham Lane (C38) Ockham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 07 February Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockham Lane (C38) Ockham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ockham Cottage” north-eastwards for a distance of 70 metres. Alternative Route – Ockham Lane; Alms Heath; and Ockham Road North or this same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow new mains water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Plus within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 4 days within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 29 January 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.

Woodside Road (D153) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 7 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodside Road (D153) Godalming which extends from its junction with Queens Mead (D669) to the eastern property boundary line of “No. 1 Hope Cottages”. Alternative Route – Woodside Road (D153), Coxcombe Lane (D155) and Petworth Road (A283).The Order is required to allow Network Plus to carry out new water connections which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 months period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

Southway (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 7 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Southway (D4001) Guildford which extends from its junction with Pond Meadow Road to its junction with Park Barn Drive. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed between a 2-7 day duration, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Access for buses may be affected. Alternative Route – Cabell Road and Park Barn Drive.

Spurfield (D6943) West Molesey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Spurfield (D6943) West Molesey which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “No. 12 Spurfield” to the southwestern property boundary line of “No. 20 Spurfield”. Alternative Route – Kelvinbrook (D6943), Mountwood (D6943) and Spurfield (D6943) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom work, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists, emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.

A322 Woodbridge Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A322 Woodbridge Road, Guildford that is crossed by the “Woodbridge Road, Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. 
This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out a detailed bridge inspection and/or maintenance and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 
Alternative route:- Woodbridge Road, Ladymead, Parkway, London Road, York Road and Woodbridge Road.

Service Road Fronting 5 to 47 School Road (D3260) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the Service Road Fronting 5 to 47 School Road (D3260) Ashford; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Service Road Fronting 5 to 47 School Road (D3260) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (B378) School Road. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 weeks, 24 hours per day, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Amlets Lane (D191) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Amlets Lane (D191) Cranleigh. Alternative Route: (D192) Barhatch Lane, (B2127) Ewhurst Road, (B2128) High Street, and (D182) Horseshoe Lane, or this route in reverse. 
This Order is required to facilitate mains water reinforcement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 7.30am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. Cyclists and equestrians will need to wait to be escorted through the site.

Feltham Hill Road (D6205) and Southfields Avenue Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford as extends from its junction with (D3270) Chessholme Road to its junction with (D3270) Redleaves Avenue; and (b) Southfields Avenue Ashford as extends from its junction with Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford and for a distance of 25 metres along Southfields Avenue. Alternative Route: (1) Feltham Hill Road, (B378) School Road, (A308) Staines Road West, Chertsey Road, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Southfields Avenue, Redleaves Avenue, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse; (3) Park Road, New Park Road, Poplar Road, and Feltham Hill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate pedestrian safety improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Hersham Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hersham Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames which extends from its junction with The Chestnuts to its junction with Hurley Close. 
This Order is required to enable Marshall Surfacing Contracts Ltd to facilitate development related works, namely: raising mini roundabouts, hydro-blasting and new lining works, and footway works and/or any other associated works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 nights, between 8pm and 5am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Public Bridleway 566 (Cranleigh) Downs Link Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 1 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Bridleway 566 (Cranleigh) Downs Link which extends from its junction with Public Footpath 380 Cranleigh (Grid ref: 506103 137972) in south-easterly direction for approximately 3450m, to a point approximately 100m northeast of Baynards Road (Grid ref: 507691 135072).
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to forestry work to respond to Ash Die Back and will be in operation for a period of 9 weeks, from 5 February 2024 until 31 March 2024, or until completion of work, if earlier.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. 
Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
‘The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 566 (Cranleigh) Downs Link Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024’ was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) &14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Public Bridleway No.566. (Cranleigh/Bramley) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2024
On 01 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway No. 566 (Cranleigh/ Bramley) from Grid ref: 501809 143560 where Public Bridleway 261 (Wonersh) intersects the bridleway in a generally southerly direction to Grid ref: 504865 139277 where Public Footpath 460 (Cranleigh) intersects the Bridleway.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to forestry work to respond to Ash Die Back.
The closure will be in operation for a period of 9 weeks from 05 February 2024 until 31 March 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. 
Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
