Temporary Road Closure – Quay Street & West Street, Fareham
Notice Is Hereby Given that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order (Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14) to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
Road(S) To Be Closed: Quay Street & West Street between its junction with East Street and its junction with A27 Eastern Way. This closure will only apply to traffic, which is restricted to buses only, travelling both in a Northernly and Southernly direction. Traffic will still be able to proceed in a Northernly direction along Quay Street.
Quay Street between its junction with West Street and its junction with Market Quay Car Park Exit.
Alternative Route: West Street, East Street, A27
Duration Of Order: from 19th February 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the Quay Street & West Street closure will be required for no longer than 3 months between the hours 08:00 – 17:00. It is expected that the Quay Street closure will be required sometime in May 2024 for no longer than 1 day).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
