What is happening?

CORONATION PLACE, CROW LANE, KING STREET, AND QUEEN CHARLOTTE STREET, CENTRAL WARD, CITY OF BRISTOL
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C (1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 as amended (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C (2) of the Act, intends to construct road humps at the locations specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice.
The road humps will extend over the full width of the carriageway and will be 75 millimetres in maximum height, subject to the tolerances permitted in the Regulations.

A copy of the plan showing the intended locations of the road humps, together with a Statement of the Council’s Reasons, may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point, 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG, between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday. The plan and a Statement of Reasons are also available to view on the City Council website at www.bristol.gov.uk/trafficorders.
How to Object
Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to TRO comments at the undermentioned address or by e-mail to tro.comments@bristol.gov.uk quoting reference CAE/RGW/P-1287C by 29th February 2024. Please include your name and address and note that all representations received may be considered in public by the City Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

Locations of Road Humps
Coronation Place – from its junction with Queen Charlotte Street westwards for 6 metres.
Crow Lane – from its junction with Queen Charlotte Street eastwards for 8 metres.

Location of Road Humps (junction speed table)
KING STREET AND QUEEN CHARLOTTE STREET
At the junction of King Street and Queen Charlotte Street, extending across the full width of the carriageway comprised in the said roads and along their respective lengths as follows:-
King Street – from its junction with Queen Charlotte Street westwards for 3 metres Queen
Charlotte Street – from a point 10.5 metres north of a point in line with common boundary line of No.48 Queen Charlotte Street and No.6 King Street, northwards for 27 metres
