NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 26

CORNWALL COUNCIL

The Cornwall Council (Footpaths at Trevelgue Head and Whipsiderry, Newquay) Public Path Creation Order 2024

The above order was made on 6 February 2024, under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980. The efect of the Order is to create a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Newquay commencing at its junction with a Public Footpath to be created by another Order, 69 metres north-north-west of “1 Trevelgue Road” at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 8312/6317, then running in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 17 metres terminating at its junction with Classifed Road (B3276) approximately 58 metres, north-north-west of “1 Trevelgue Road” at OSGR SW 8314/6317; and another length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Newquay commencing at its junction with a Public Footpath to be created by another Order, 336 metres west-south-west of “Porth Beach Hotel” at OSGR SW 8275/6299, then running in a generally northerly direction for a distance of 38 metres terminating at its junction with a Public Footpath to be created by another Order, 342 metres west-north-west of “Porth Beach Hotel” at OSGR SW 8274/6302; and another length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Newquay commencing at its junction with a Public Footpath to be created by another Order, 326 metres west-north-west of “Porth Beach Hotel” at OSGR SW 8276/6303, then running in a generally eastnorth-easterly direction for a distance of 108 metres terminating at its junction with a Public Footpath to be created by another Order, 235 metres west-north-west of “Porth Beach Hotel” at OSGR SW 8286/6307.

A copy of the Order and the Order Maps have also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Newquay Library and Information Service, Marcus Hill, Newquay TR7 1BD from 09.30 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Saturday. Copies of the Order & Maps may be bought there, at the price of £5.00. 

A copy of the Order and Order maps may also be viewed at the Ofces of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to the Countryside Rights of Way Team leader, Cornwall Council, PO BOX 676, Threemilestone, Cornwall, TR1 9EQ (quoting Reference HAD 289 (Creation Order)) not later than 7 March 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council may confrm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confrmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
