Market Bridge Lane Access Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC MARKET BRIDGE
LANE ACCESS ROAD, THORNTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Market Bridge Lane Access Road, Thornton during the
following period Monday 19 February 2024 until Monday 18 August 2025. The road closure is necessary to enable the collapsed bridge repair works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 18 months. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Marketbridge Lane, Main Street,
Common Lane, Melbourne Road and Common Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic.
