The Bolton Public Footpath, Temporary Closure
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH BOLTON 322) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.84) ORDER 2024
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 12th February 2024, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Bolton 322 commencing from Raikes Lane point A at grid reference SD 73173 07992 in a generally south-south west direction to Manchester Road point B at grid reference SD 73016 07314; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Bol322 over a total distance of approximately 840 metres. An alternative route Is not available.
The Order is necessary to facilitate the removal of existing bridge and installation of new bridge and will operate from 12th February 2024 until the 27th May 2024, or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
