A5 Trunk Road - Prohibition Of Traffic For Utility Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(A) and (7)
THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (TAMWORTH, STAFFORDSHIRE) (SLIP ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A5 Trunk Road, at Tamworth, in the County of Staffordshire, to enable utility works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the slip road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the A5 from its roundabout junction with Marlborough Way, at Tamworth.
The work will be carried out over one night between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Sunday 18 February 2024. The Order will come into force on 12 February 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via Ventura Park Road will be signed.
