Blackwater Valley Road, Temporary Speed Restrictions Due To Cable Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION - A331 BLACKWATER VALLEY ROAD, RUSHMOOR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION: to impose a 30mph speed restriction on the following road: A331 Blackwater Valley Road, Northbound between its junction with Coleford Road and its junction with Farnborough Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 7th February 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the restriction will be required for no longer than 60 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The speed restriction has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SSE to carry out HV cable repairs.
