Albion Street - Temporary Parking Restrictions & Road Closure
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make a temporary Order to facilitate a new water supply on Albion Street, Brierley Hill. The effects of which will be to prohibit: -
(a) the waiting, loading, or unloading vehicles;
(b) all vehicles from entering or proceeding; on Albion Street, Brierley Hill, outside new dwellings at nos. 2 & 2A Albion Street, at such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.
The Order will apply on Saturday 17 th February 2024. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 25 th February 2024. The Order will remain valid for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. No diversion route is required.
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents at all times. Exemptions would be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works. Any queries on the temporary restrictions imposed, should be made on (01384) 815453.
