Maidstone, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

BULL LANE, STOCKBURY. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Stockbury, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from The Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Cowstead Road, Lower Hartlip Road, Cradles Road, Hill Green Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHARLESFORD AVENUE, MAIDSTONE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charlesford Avenue, Maidstone, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Whitehall Drive, Chestnut Drive, Ashford Drive and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHART HILL ROAD & GREEN LANE, CHART SUTTON. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Hill Road & Green Lane, Chart Sutton, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Acre, Chart Hill Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic for:-

Chart Hill Road is via Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane, Lucks Lane, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.

Green Lane is via Green Lane, Chart Hill Road, Green Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHURCH CRESCENT, HARRIETSHAM, ME17 1AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Crescent, Harrietsham, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 5 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 22, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Crescent, Church Lane, Church Crescent and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

FORSTAL ROAD, MAIDSTONE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow joint replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Forstal Road, Maidstone, on or after 16th February 2024, for up to 17 days, between the hours of 20.00 & 06.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the overbridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These works will be in conjunction with 3-way traffic lights by Rochester Road and Pratling Street.

The alternative route is via Forstal Road, Running Horse Roundabout, A229 Sandling Interchange, Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Bluebell Hill, Kits Coty Slip, Rochester Road, Pratling Street, Beddow Way, Forstal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HACKNEY ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME16 8NS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hackney Road, Maidstone, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 56, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hackney Road, Upper Fant Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Fant Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HENIKER LANE, SUTTON VALENCE, ME17 3EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Henikers Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Heniker Lane, East Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, Heniker Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

MAIDSTONE ROAD RUN - HEART OF KENT HOSPICE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow the Maidstone Road Run event to be held by Heart of Kent Hospice, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Boughton Monchelsea, Chart Sutton and Linton on 3rd March 2024, or until the event has been completed.

The following roads will be closed for their entire length, between the hours of 08:00 and 12:30 only, on a rolling basis as detailed below:-

Boughton Monchelsea

Hubbards Lane, Haste Hill Road, Beresford Hill, Bottlescrew Hill, Cliff Hill Road, Cliff Hill, Pested Bars Road, Brishing Road, The Quarries, Old Tree Lane, Church Street, Loddington Lane, Lower Farm Road, Back Lane & Park Lane.

Chart Sutton

Brishing Road, Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane, Lucks Lane, Green Lane, Chart Road, Church Road, Warmlake Road & Amber Lane.

Linton

Loddington Lane & Butt Green Lane.

MILL LANE, YALDING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Yalding, on or after 29th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Vicarage Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Mill Lane, Vicarage Road, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

PEEL STREET, MAIDSTONE, ME14 2RQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Peel Street, Maidstone, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Peel Street, John Street, Thornhill Place, Fisher Street, Peel Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

POSTLEY ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME15 6UN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Postley Road, Maidstone, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 44, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Postley Road, Armstrong Road, A229 Loose Road, Upper Stone Street, Old Tovil Road, A229 Sheals Crescent, Postley Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WARREN STREET ROAD, CHARING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Warren Street Road, Charing, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stan Hope, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Warren Street Road, Stone Stile Farm Road, Hart Hill, A20 Maidstone Road, A20 Ashford Road, Rayners Hill, Waterditch Lane, Warren Street Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

YELSTED ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Yelsted Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Yelsted Lane to the junction with Hill Green Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hill Green Road, West Wood Road, Yelsted Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
