Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

CANTERBURY AREA

BEKESBOURNE LANE, BEKESBOURNE & BEKESBOURNE LANE, CANTERBURY. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bekesbourne Lane, Bekesbourne & Bekesbourne Lane, Canterbury, on or after 29th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Oakleigh Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bekesbourne Lane, A257 Littlebourne Road, Canterbury Road, The Hill, High Street, Bekesbourne Lane, Bekesbourne Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

BUSHY HILL ROAD, WESTBERE, CT2 0FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bushy Hill Road, Westbere, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 5 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with the A28 Island Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Westbere Lane, Bushy Hill Road and vice versa.

CANTERBURY HILL, TYLER HILL. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Canterbury Hill, Tyler Hill, from 21.00 hours on 27th February 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 28th February 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Giles Lane to the junction with Calais Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The environmental weight limit on Forty Acres Road, Beaconsfield Road and St Stephen’s Hill will be suspended.

The alternative route is via Canterbury Hill, Hackington Road, Radfall Road, Radfall Hill, Chestfield Road, A2990 Thanet Way, A290 Clapham Hill, Pean Hill, Honey Hill, Blean Common, Blean Hill, Tile Kiln Hill, Whitstable Road, St Thomas Hill, Whitstable Road, Forty Acres Road, Beaconsfield Road, St Stephens’s Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHURCH LANE, SEASALTER, CT5 4QG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow cover and frame works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Seasalter, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of St. Helena, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Lane, A2990 Thanet Way, Borstal Hill, Joy Lane, Faversham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHURCH STREET, WHITSTABLE, CT5 1SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Street, Whitstable, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 16, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Street, A2990 Thanet Way, Millstrood Road, Old Bridge Road, The Bridge Approach, Castle Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

FITZGERALD AVENUE, HERNE BAY, CT6 8BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fitzgerald Avenue, Herne Bay, from 14th February 2024, with estimated completion by 16th February 2024, between the hours of 20.00 and 06.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Sea Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-Way Order on Fitzgerald Avenue will be temporarily suspended to allow for access.

These works are in conjunction with two-way lights on Sea Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sea Street, Beaumont Street, Clarendon Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HATCH LANE, CHARTHAM, CT4 7LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hatch Lane, Chartham, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Royal Oak, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hatch Lane, Town Lane, Howfield Lane, New Town Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

KINGSDOWN PARK, WHITSTABLE, CT5 2DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsdown Park, Whitstable, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Tankerton Circus, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Kingsdown Park, Northwood Road, Tower Parade, Tankerton Road, Tankerton Circus and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

MIDDLE WALL, WHITSTABLE, CT5 1AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Middle Wall, Whitstable, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 77, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic:-

Southbound is via Middle Wall, Terrys Lane, Horsebridge Road, Sea Street, Harbour Street and High Street.

Northbound is via High Street and Terrys Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

NARGATE STREET, LITTLEBOURNE, CT3 1ST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Nargate Street, Littlebourne, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 5 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction of the A257 and the junction of Church Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Nargate Street, Wickham Road, Wickham Lane, The Street, Wingham Lane, A257 Canterbury Road, Wingham Road, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

PUCKLE LANE, CANTERBURY. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Puckle Lane, Canterbury, on or after 18th February 2024, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.

Puckle Lane will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-Way Order on Puckle Lane will be temporarily suspended to allow for access.

The alternative route is via South Canterbury Road, Ethelbert Road, Old Dover Road, Puckle Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

RAILWAY HILL, BARHAM. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Railway Hill, Barham, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Honeysuckle Corner, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Railway Hill, Greenhills, Valley Road, Derringstone Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

REDHOUSE LANE, PETHAM, CT4 5NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Redhouse Lane, Petham, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Faussett Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Redhouse Lane, Chartham Downs Road, Street End and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SCHOOL LANE, BEKESBOURNE, CT4 5ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Lane, Bekesbourne, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Parsonage Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via School Lane, Chalkpit Hill, Adisham Road, Adisham Downs Road, Pond Hill, Station Road, Adisham Road, Box Iron Road, Old Dover Road, A2 J A260 Join NW, A2 Dover Road, Bonny Bush Slip Westbound Off, Bonny Bush Hill, Bridge Hill, High Street, Town Hill, Bekesbourne Road, Bifrons Hill, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

ST PETER’S PLACE, CANTERBURY, CT1 2DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of St Peter’s Place, Canterbury, from 22.30 hours on 13th February 2024, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 14th February 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 31a, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via St Peter’s Roundabout, A2050 Rheims Way, London Road Roundabout, London Road, A290 St Dunstans Street, St Peter’s Place and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

ST STEPHENS ROAD, CANTERBURY, CT2 7JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of St Stephens Road, Canterbury, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 94, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The environmental weight limit on Station Road West and Forty Acres Road will be suspended for the duration of these works.

The alternative route is via St Stephens Road, Station Road West, A290 St Dunstans Street, Whitstable Road, Forty Acres Road, Beaconsfield Road, St Stephen’s Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

TONFORD LANE, HARBLEDOWN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tonford Lane, Harbledown, on or after 29th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pilgrims Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

THE STREET, KINGSTON, CT4 6JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Kingston, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Westwood Road, Pheasant Hall Road, Crows Camp Road, Frog Lane, Bonny Bush Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WESTGATE TERRACE, WHITSTABLE, CT5 1SU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow footway reconstruction works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Westgate Terrace, Whitstable, on or after 26th February 2024, with estimated completion by 22nd March 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Station Road, Diamond Road, Cromwell Road and vice versa.
