What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

EGERTON, TN27 9DA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bedlam Lane, Egerton, on or after 13th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of 1 Goodwin House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bedlam Lane, Forstal Road, Crocken Hill Road, Barhams Mill Road, Southernden Road, Grigg Lane, Shearway Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHARING HEATH ROAD, CHARING, TN27 0AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charing Heath Road, Charing, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pluckley Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pluckley Road, Station Road, Maidstone Road, Hook Lane, Charing Heath Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

RYE ROAD, WITTERSHAM. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rye Road, Wittersham, on or after 14th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Underhill Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Stocks Road, The Street, Poplar Road, Peening Quarter Road, Smallhythe Road, Rolvenden Road, Rolvenden Hill, Tenterden Road, High Street, Hastings Road, Rye Road, Station Road, Whitebread Lane, Stoddards Lane, Peasmarsh Road, Two Hovens, Barnets Hill, Mill Lane, Flackley Ash, Main Street, Iden Road, Grove Lane, Wittersham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SANDYHURST LANE, BOUGHTON ALUPH, TN25 4PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandyhurst Lane, Boughton Aluph, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 4 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 202, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sandyhurst Lane, Faversham Road, Trinity Road, Junction 9, M20 Junction 9 To Junction 10 On Slip, M20 Junction 9 From J10 Off Slip, Fougeres Way, Simone Weil Roundabout, Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SUSANS HILL, WOODCHURCH, TN26 3RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Susans Hill, Woodchurch, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Susans Hill Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bethersden Road, Front Road, Back Lane, Lower Road, Brook Street, Swain Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

VARIOUS ROADS, WILLESBOROUGH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Willesborough, on or after 12th February 2024, with estimated completion by 19th July 2024, or until the works have been completed.

WORKS SCHEDULE

Canterbury Road, Willesborough

Canterbury Road will be closed from 12th February 2024, with estimated completion by 1st March 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118493484-03366 - SGN).

The road will be closed from the junction with Mead Road, to the side of number 28, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gladstone Road, Cudworth Road, Canterbury Road, Monument Way, The Long Barrow, Crowbridge Road, Crowbridge Link and vice versa.

Mead Road, Willesborough

Mead Road will be closed from 12th February 2024, with estimated completion by 5th April 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118492433-00791-03 - SGN).

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via:-

Gladstone Road, Cudworth Road, Canterbury Road, Monument Way, The Long Barrow, Crowbridge Road, Crowbridge Link and vice versa or

Gladstone Road, Cudworth Road, Canterbury Road, Crowbridge Link, Crowbridge Road and vice versa.

Bath Road, Willesborough

Bath Road will be closed from 26th February 2024, with estimated completion by 5th April 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118493715-00075-03 - SGN).

The road will be closed from the junction with Mead Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gladstone Road, Cudworth Road, Canterbury Road, Crowbridge Link, Crowbridge Road and vice versa.

Gladstone Road, Willesborough

Gladstone Road, Willesborough will be closed from 25th March 2024, with estimated completion by 2nd May 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118493774-00479).

The road will be closed from the junction with Cudworth Road to the junction with Mead Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cudworth Road, Canterbury Road, Mead Road and vice versa.

Mead Road, Willesborough

Mead Road will be closed from 13th May 2024, with estimated completion by 31st May 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118493740-00791-03 - SGN).

The road will be closed from the junction with Gladstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crowbridge Road, Crowbridge Link, Canterbury Road, Cudworth Road and vice versa.

Gladstone Road, Willesborough

Gladstone Road will be closed from 13th May 2024, with estimated completion by 31st May 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118493774-00497-03 - SGN).

The road will be closed from the junction with Mead Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crowbridge Road, Crowbridge Link, Canterbury Road, Cudworth Road and vice versa.

Mead Road, Willesborough

Mead Road will be closed from 28th May 2024, with estimated completion by 5th July 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W119611207-00791).

The road will be closed from the junction with Gladstone Road to the junction with Crowbridge Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is Gladstone Road, Crowbridge Road and vice versa.

Crowbridge Road, Willesborough

Crowbridge Road will be closed from 24th June 2024, with estimated completion by 19th July 2024, or where stated on a valid permit (XW015W119611479-0049 - SGN).

The road will be closed from the junction of Mead Road to the junction with Newtown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crowbridge Road, The Boulevard, Bad Munstereifel Road, Romney Marsh Road, Newtown Road and vice versa - there is a low bridge of 3.3m on this diversion route.
