Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

CANTERBURY AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY) (SPEED LIMITS)(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023(AMENDMENT NO.10) ORDER 2024

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in Hillborough, Herne Bay in the District of Canterbury:

BOGSHOLE LANE – From a point 500 metres west of its junction with May Street for a distance of 220 metres in a south westerly direction. MAY STREET – From its junction with Campion Avenue for a distance of 270 metres in a south easterly direction.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY)(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023(AMENDMENT NO.12) ORDER 2024

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to reduce the 30mph to 20mph on the following length of road in Whitstable, Canterbury:

This order was advertised as originally as Amendments 20 but due to the new consolidation order for Canterbury it has been renumbered as Amendment 12.

TANKERTON ROAD - From its junction with St Annes Road to its junction with Pier Avenue.

The Order was made on 9 February 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 12 February 2024.

DARTFORD AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2020 (AMENDMENT NO.27) ORDER 2024

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following roads:-

BRENT LANE – On the northeast side from its junction with Sussex Road to a point 10 metres northwest and 10 metres southeast. CARLISLE ROAD – (1) On the southeast side from its junction with Howard Road to a point 10 metres west and 10 metres east (2) On the north side from its junction with Bayly Road to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west. HENDERSON DRIVE – On the northeast side from its junction with Wordsworth Way to a point 10 metres northwest and 10 metres southeast. HOWARD ROAD – (1) On both sides from its junction with Carlisle Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On both sides from its junction with Barham Road for a distance of 10 meters in a northerly direction. SUSSEX ROAD – Both sides from its junction with Brent Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. WORDSWORTH WAY - On both sides from its junction with Henderson Drive for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER) (SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022(AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order.

The effect of the order will be to extend the speed limit of 30MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in Denton, Dover:-

CANTERBURY ROAD – From the current speed limit at its junction with Denton Lane for a distance of 125 metres in a southerly direction DENTON LANE – From its junction with Canterbury Road for a distance of 65 metres in a south easterly direction.

The Order was made on 8 February 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 9 February 2024.

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

(3) On both side from its junction with Lewisham Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south westerly direction. DEANWOOD ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with The Ridgeway for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction. HAZELDOWN CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with The Ridgeway for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. HAWTHORN CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Lyndhurst Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. LEWISHAM ROAD – DYL – On the southwest side between points 15 metres southeast and 15 metres northwest from its junction with Crabble Lane. LYNDHURST ROAD - DYL – (1) On both sides from its junction with Crabble Close for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. (3) On the southwest side between points 10 metres northwest and 10 metres southeast from its junction with Deanwood Road. (4) On the southwest side from its junction with Crabble Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

To extend the current 20MPH zone on the following lengths of roads in Riverhead and Chevening, Sevenoaks:-

BARNFIELD ROAD, BULLFINCH LANE, CHESTERFIELD DRIVE, ELMSTEAD CLOSE, STANHOPE WAY & WITCHES LANE - For their entire length. CHEVENING ROAD – Extend the existing limit from the property boundary of 52/54 Chevening Road for a distance of 416 metres in a north westerly direction to the existing 40mph limit. CHIPSTEAD LANE – From its junction with Witches Lane to its junction with The Square.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1) and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the above listed Order.

The effect of the made named Orders will be to consolidate all Traffic Movement restrictions in the Borough of Swale and to present the location of the existing restrictions in a map schedule and to specify each type of restriction so presented in a map schedule legend.

The Orders were made on 8th February 2024 and the provisions of the Orders will come into effect on 9th February 2024.

B2016 SEVEN MILE LANE – From its roundabout with A26 Tonbridge Road for a distance of 246 metres in a north westerly direction to join up with the existing 40mph limit.
