Trotters Bottom, Temporary Closure
What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TROTTERS BOTTOM, BARNET) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trotters Bottom, Barnet from a point 800m south west of its junction with the A1081 St Albans Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 120m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Trotters Bottom, A1081 St Albans Road, A1000 High Street, Meadway, Potters Road, Plantagenet Road, A110 Station Road, A1000 Barnet Hill (Great North Road)/ High Street), A411 Wood Street, Galley Lane and Trotters Bottom. The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
