Cropper Road & Whitehill Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Fylde:
i. Cropper Road from the roundabout junction of B5410 Lytham St Annes Way to the roundabout junction of A5230 Progress Way.
ii. Whitehill Road from its junction with Preston New Road to the roundabout junction of B5410.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibitions will be operative from 0730 hours on Monday 19th February 2024 until 1600 hours on Friday 29th March 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- Cropper Road: Progress Way – Midgeland Road – School Road
Whitehill Road: Preston New Road – Lytham St Annes Way
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow reconstruction of the roundabout to accommodate the M55 Heyhouses Scheme to be carried out by LCC Highways.
