Warwickshire, Leamington Spa - Temporary Traffic orders

What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

A425 OLD WARWICK ROAD, A425 HIGH STREET, B4087 LOWER AVENUE,

B4087 TACHBROOK ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Old Warwick Road – between train station exit and Lower Avenue, High Street – between

Lower Avenue and Wise Street, Lower Avenue – between High Street/ Old Warwick Road and Spencer Street/Avenue Road, Tachbrook Road – between High Street/Old Warwick Road and Gas Street.

Reason for Order: Carriageway reconstruction, replacement of traffic signal loops and associated works. Unfortunately, completion of these works was delayed but has now been rescheduled as indicated below:

Saturday 10 February (8pm) - Monday 12 February (6am) (night and day).

Monday 12 February (8pm) - Tuesday 13 February (6am) (night-time only).

Order Commenced: 28 October 2023 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: A425, A452, Queensway, St. Helens Road, Grosvenor Road, Prospect Road, Sydenham Drive, A425 and vice versa.

Access/Egress will be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only.

D49850 COCKSPARROW STREET, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Linen Street and Theatre Street.

Reason for Order: Footway patching and associated works, 09.30hrs-15.00hrs.

Order Commences: 9 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 9 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: Linen Street, Theatre Street and vice versa. Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

D4210 GOLDSMITH AVENUE & D4214 WORDSWORTH AVENUE, WARWICK

Order Effect: Roads closed in their entirety between A4189 Hampton Road and Browning Avenue.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing works, closed 09.00hrs-15.30hrs, weekdays only.

Order Commences: 5 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: A4189 Hampton Road, Shakespeare Avenue, Browning Avenue and vice versa.

D46710 HOME FARM CRESCENT, WHITNASH

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between both of its junctions with Canon Young Road.

Reason for Order: Footway patching and associated works, 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 9 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 9 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: Canon Young Road and vice versa. Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

A4177 BIRMINGHAM ROAD, BUDBROOKE

Orders Effect: A 30 mph Speed Limit will be imposed on A4177 Birmingham Road from Ugly Bridge Road to Charingworth Drive. The Cycle Lane on A4177 Birmingham Road will be closed between Ugly Bridge Road and Charingworth Drive – cyclists to dismount.

Reason for Orders: To enable works for construction of a ghost right turn lane for the Taylor Wimpey development.

Order Commences: 21 February 2024 for up to 18 months/6 months respectively.

Anticipated Completion: 11 October 2024.

D42010 BRIDGE END, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed between junctions of the A425.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 23 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 23 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: A425. Limited access to The Templars, Brooke Close, The Courtyard and Archery Fields.

GUY STREET & GUYS CLIFFE TERRACE WARWICK

Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic. In addition, the One-Way traffic flow Guy Street and Guys Cliffe Terrace will be temporarily reversed.

Reason for Order: To enable installation of a boundary box and meter.

Order Commences: 19 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 21 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: Coten End, Wharf Street, Broad Street, Guys Cliffe Terrace and vice versa.

Contractor: For STW, Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

KENILWORTH STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed from Warwick Street to Regent Street.

Reason for Order: To safely enable hydrant renewal.

Order Commences: 23 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 25 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: Warwick Street, Park Street, Regent Street and vice versa. Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

OAKLEY WOOD ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Harbury Lane to a point past the works. Please note: The closure will be effective overnight 21.00hrs-06.00hrs. Traffic lights will be in use during the day.

Reason for Order: Works for installation of apparatus in the carriageway.

Order Commences: 19 February 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 27 February 2024.

Access & Diversion: Harbury Lane, Europa Way, Banbury Road, Oakley Wood Road, and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 46A

NOTICE OF INCREASE OF ON-STREET PARKING CHARGES

Notice is hereby given that Warwickshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has resolved to vary the charges for on-street parking within the Borough/ Districts of Rugby, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick, as outlined in the Schedule below. The new charges will come into force on 1 March 2024.

The current charges were prescribed in the following Orders (as varied by s46A notices from time to time):

•  The Warwickshire County Council (Borough of Rugby) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On-Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017.

•  The Warwickshire County Council (District of Stratford on Avon) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017.

•  The Warwickshire County Council (District of Warwick) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017.
