ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (A22 Whitesmith, Chiddingly) (Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 40 mph:-
Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit
Whitesmith – from Randalls Farm to Providence House.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 04:00hrs between 5 and 9 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C203 Beacon Road, Ditchling) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Beacon Road – from the junction with U5682 Long Park Corner to the junction with U5240 Underhill Lane. The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 February and 3 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C252 Myrtle Road, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Myrtle Road – from the junction with C11 Croft Road to the junction with U7253 Church Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C11 Croft Road – U7253 Church Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7504 Framfield Road, Buxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Framfield Road – from the junction with A272 High Street to the junction with U7505 Limes Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7505 Limes Lane – A272 High Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 7 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C595 Vines Cross Road, Horam) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Vines Cross Road – from the junction with C406 Laundry Lane to the junction with B2203 High Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2203 High Street – A267 High Street – C208 Horsbeech Lane – C406 Laundry Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 9 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A26 Uckfield Bypass, Uckfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Uckfield Bypass – from A22 Blackdown roundabout to A26 Budletts roundabout.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A22 Maresfield bypass – B2026 Straight Half Mile, Lampool Road, Duddleswell Road – C3 New Road – A26 Uckfield Road, Five Ash Down, Mill Pond Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 5 and 6 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2123 The Drove, Falmer) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Kier to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Drove – from the junction with B2123 University roundabout to the junction with A27 Brighton Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A27 Brighton Road – National Highways and vice versa. The Order commenced 3 July 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 5 and 10 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7420 Sandhill Lane, Boars Head) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sandhill Lane – from the junction with U7420 Redgate Mill Lane to the junction with A26 Eridge Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7881 Limekiln Forest Road – U7880 Boars Head Road – A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 3 November 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5284 Third Avenue, Newhaven) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Third Avenue – from the junction with U5285 First Avenue to the junction with U5286 Western Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5285 First Avenue – U5283 Second Avenue – U5286 Western Road – U5284 Third Avenue and vice versa.
The Order commenced 17 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 9 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C12 Blackdon Hill, Eridge Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Blackdon Hill – from the junction with U7543 Danegate to the junction with C407 Cowford Bridge Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C12 Sham Farm Road – A26 Eridge Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A267 Frant Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road – B2101 Bicycle Arms Road, High Cross, Mayfield Road – C12 Eridge Lane and vice versa.
The Order commenced 7 March 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2188 Plumyfeather Lane, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Plumyfeather Lane – from the junction with C11 Lye Green to the junction with C251 Ladies Mile.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2188 Lye Green Road, Church Hill, Black Hill – B2026 High Road, Chuck Hatch Road, Cotchford Hill, Jib Jacks Hill – B2110 High Street, Castlefields, Withyham Road – B2188 Hendal Hill, Cherry Gardens Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 2 and 3 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5833 Rustic Road, Peacehaven) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Rustic Road – from the junction with U5841 Downs Walk to No.5.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 22 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5103 Montacute Road, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Montacute Road – from the junction with A275 Brighton Road to outside No. 20.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A275 Brighton Road – C7 Winterbourne Hollow – U5103 Winterbourne Lane, Delaware Road, Barons Down Road, Montacute Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2100 The Broadway/Crowborough Hill, Crowborough/Jarvis Brook) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Broadway/Crowborough Hill – from the junction with C11 Western Road to the junction with C11 Croft Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2157 Green Lane, Eridge Road – A26 Eridge Road – B2100 High Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 19 February and 16 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2100 Station Road, Town Row, Rotherfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Road – from the junction with B2101 South Street to the junction with B2100 Catts Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2100 Catts Hill – A267 Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Argos Hill – B2101 Bicycle Arms Road, High Cross, Mayfield Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 20 and 23 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2203 Hailsham Road, Heathfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hailsham Road – from the junction with U7064 Marshlands Lane to the junction with U7602 Ghyll Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2203 Tower Street – A265 Mutton Hall Hill – High Street, Cross in Hand Road – A267 Little London Road – B2203 High Street – Maynards Green Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5655 Town Littleworth Road, Barcombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Town Littleworth Road – from the junction with C205 Cooksbridge Road to the junction with U5654 Markstakes Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5654 Markstakes Lane – A275 South Street, South Road, Resting Oak Hill – C205 Deadmantree Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 28 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C39 Coldharbour Road, Upper Dicker) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow ALS Civil Engineers to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Coldharbour Road – from Fairlands to Woodpeckers.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C39 Coldharbour Road – A22 The Dicker, Hailsham bypass, Polegate Road, Hailsham Road – A27 (T) Eastbourne Road, Lewes Road – C39 Station Road, Wick Street, High Barn Road, Coldharbour Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 February and 1 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A259 The Drove, Newhaven) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

The Drove – from the junction with A259 North Quay to the junction with A259 B&Q roundabout.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via A259 North Quay – A259 Station Approach – A259 Drove Road – A259 The Drove & westbound via A259 Drove Road – A259 Station Approach – A259 The Drove.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 19 and 24 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2104 London Road – A271 Lower Horsebridge – A22 Hailsham bypass or via A22 Hailsham bypass – A295 South Road, George Street, North Street, High Street – B2202 London Road – B2104 London Road.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 24 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A275 Cooksbridge Road, Resting Oak Hill, South Road, South Street, Chailey Green Road, East Grinstead Road, Sheffield Park, Lewes Road, London Road, Lewes Road – A22 Wych Cross, Millbrook Hill, High Street, Fords Green Road, Courtland Road, Horney Common Road, Maresfield bypass, Uckfield bypass – A26 Lewes Road, Rose Hill, Uckfield Road, Malling Down, Malling Hill, Malling Street, Cuilfail Tunnel, Southerham Road – A27(T) – A275 Brighton Road, Nevill Road, Offham Road, The Street, Cooksbridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs on 19 and 20 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
