What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (C22 Chapel Hill, Sedlescombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Chapel Hill – from the junction with C22 Cottage Lane to the junction with C22 Crazy Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Cottage Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 23 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6207 Coneyburrow Lane, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Temporary Road Closure
Coneyburrow Lane – from the junction with A259 Barnhorn Road to the junction with U6208 Sandhurst Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6208 Sandhurst Lane – A259(T) Barnhorn Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 22 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C345 Watermill Lane, Bexhill/Catsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Watermill Lane – from the junction with U6209 Freezeland Lane to the junction with U6115 Spratts Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C345 Watermill Lane, Church Road – B2204 The Green, The Stream, Catsfield Road – A269 Bexhill Road, Ninfield Road – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – C345 Watermill Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3139 Undercliff, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Lightning Fibre to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Undercliff – from the junction with A259 Marina to the junction with U3139 Burton Way.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible and an alternative route for through traffic Eastbound via A259 Marina – U3139 Burton Way and Westbound via U3139 Quarry Hill – U3128 Maze Hill – U3139 Maze Hill, East Ascent, Gardner Way – A259 Marina.
The Order commences 22 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 24 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C639 Ivyhouse Lane, Guestling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ivyhouse Lane – from the junction with C22 Three Oaks Road to the junction with C639 Chowns Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Three Oaks Road, The Moor, Moor Lane – A28 Church Lane, Westfield Lane – A2100 Maplehurst Road – B2093 The Ridge, Conquest roundabout, The Ridge – C639 Chowns Hill and vice versa. The Order commences 22 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2098 Collington Avenue, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Collington Avenue – from the junction with P6599 Cranleigh Close to the junction with U6562 Holmesdale Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2098 Collington Avenue – U6527 Birk Dale – B2182 Cooden Sea Road – A259 Little Common roundabout, Little Common Road – A269 London Road, Town Hall Square – B2098 Buckhurst Place, Terminus Road, Collington Avenue and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 20 and 21 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U6958 Royal Oak Lane, Crowhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Royal Oak Lane – from the junction with C307 Ballards Hill to Hye House.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 6 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 9 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3256 Upper Broomgrove Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Hutchison 3G Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Upper Broomgrove Road – from the junction with U3278 Parker Road to the junction with U3256 Chiltern Drive.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3278 Parker Road – U3257 Malvern Way – U3256 Southdown Avenue, Chiltern Drive and vice versa.
The Order commenced 7 November 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 8 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3124 Charles Road West, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Charles Road West – from the junction with C664 The Green to the junction with U3120 Clinton Crescent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3124 Charles Road West – U3123 Tower Road West – U3129 Dane Road – U3128 The Green – C664 The Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 7 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 9 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C293 Whatlington Road, Whatlington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Whatlington Road – from the junction with U6307 Oakhurst Road to the junction with C292 Riccards Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C293 Whatlington Road – A21(T) Woodmans Green Road, Vinehall Road – A2100 London Road, High Street – C293 Mount Street, Caldbec Hill, Whatlington Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3107 St Vincents Road, St Leonards-On-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
St Vincents Road – from the junction with U3106 West Hill Road to the junction with C238 Filsham Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3106 West Hill Road – A259 Bexhill Road – C238 Filsham Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 6 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C93 Forewood Lane, Crowhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow NRE Services Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Forewood Lane – from the junction with C93 Crowhurst Road to the junction with P6661 Station Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Forewood Lane, Telham Lane – A2100 Hastings Road, Battle Hill, Lower Lake – C27 Powdermill Lane – B2204 The Green – C664 The Green – C345 Church Road – C307 Crowhurst Road, Catsfield Road, Ballards Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6433 The Grove/Rope Walk, Rye) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Grove/Rope Walk – 30 metres either side of Grove Road level crossing.
To facilitate these works and permit access and egress it will be necessary to temporarily suspend the One Way Traffic Regulation Order insofar as it relates to Deadmans Lane to temporarily permit two-way traffic.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via A268 Tower Street, Landgate, Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259 South Undercliff, Strand Quay – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street & northbound via A268 Cinque Ports Street, Wish Street – A259 Strand Quay, South Undercliff – A268 Fishmarket Road, Rye Hill.
The Order commenced 11 August 2022 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U6712 Camperdown Street/U6533 Cranston Rise/U6593 Pembury Grove/U6562 Westville Road/U6587 Newlands Avenue, Bexhill/U6186 Heather Way/U6184 Knowle Road/U6184 Woodland Way, Fairlight) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Camperdown Street – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with P6647 Camperdown Street.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 8 and 9 and between 14 and 23 February 2024.
Cranston Rise – from the junction with U6533 Cranston Avenue to the junction with U6533 Walton Park.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 12 and 13 and between 21 and 27 February 2024.
Diversion via U6533 Cranston Avenue, Walton Park and vice versa.
Heather Way – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 5 and 6, 8 and 9 and 12 February 2024.
Knowle Road – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 5 and 9 February 2024.
Pembury Grove – from the junction with U6593 Bidwell Avenue to the junction with U6593 Dalehurst Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 14 and 20 February and between 27 February and 11 March 2024.
Diversion via U6593 Bidwell Avenue – U6589 Gunters Lane – U6745 Woodsgate Park – U6583 Buxton Drive – U6593 Canada Way, St Lawrence Road, Dalehurst Road and vice versa.
Woodland Way – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 7 and 9 and 12 and 19 February 2024.
Westville Road – from the junction with U6562 Cranston Avenue to the junction with B2098 Collington Avenue.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 21 and 26 February and 4 and 13 March 2024.
Diversion via U6562 Cranston Avenue, Holmesdale Road – B2098 Collington Avenue and vice versa or via U6562 Cranston Avenue, Colebrooke Road – B2098 Collington Avenue and vice versa.
Newlands Avenue – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 27 February and 1 March and 11 and 21 March 2024.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
