Carlisle, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE DISTRICT OF CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 10 February 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. Station Road, Brampton - From 10 February 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9601)

From its junction with Edmondson Close to its junction with A69 Brampton Bypass.

Alternative Routes: (i) via the A69 Brampton Bypass, A6071, the Sands and the unrestricted section of Station Road or (ii) via the A69, B6413 Tarn Road and Tree Road.

2. U1056 Milton - From 13 February 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9635)

From its junction with the A69 to its junction with the A689.

Alternative Route: via the A689 and the A69 Brampton Bypass.

3. C1031 Talkin - From 23 February 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9758)

From its junction with the B6413 extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 620m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1031 and the B6413.

4. U1208 Near Talkin - From 26 February 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9765)

From its junction with the C1031 to its junction with the U1207.

Alternative Route: via the U1207 and the C1031.

5. C1013 Irthington - From 1 March 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9791)

From its junction the U1095, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 950m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1013, A6071, C1046 and the A689.

6. U1157 Near Burthwaite - From 2 March 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/9804)

From its junction with the C1036 to its junction with the C1037.

Alternative Route: via the C1037, Newbiggin Road and the C1036.

7. U1095 Irthington - From 4 March 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9792)

From its junction the C1013 extending in a northerly then south westerly direction for approx. 950m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1095, U1094, A689 and the C1013.

8. U1152 Unthank - From 6 March 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/9813)

From its junction the C1014 to its junction with the U1154.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U1152, U1153, C1017 and the C1014.

9. C1017 Buckabank, Dalston - From 12 March 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9814)

From its junction with the C1014 Buckabank to its junction with the C1036.

Alternative Routes: (i) via the C1036, U1153, U1152 and C1014 and via (ii) the U1143 and the U1146.

10. C1023 Gilsland - From 13 March 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/9433)

From its junction with the U1283, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 350m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1023 and the A69.

11. U1154 Unthank - From 15 March 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/9815)

From its junction with the U1152 to its junction with the U1153.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U1153 and the U1152.
