What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL
(WHITEHOUSE LANE, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of
the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Whitehouse Lane
which extends from Clarke Street to Philip Street; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the
prohibition of heavy vehicles from proceeding in Catherine Mead
Street and Dean Lane (between Catherine Mead Street and
Cannon Street/North Street) so as to give effect to the alternative
route as a consequence of item 1. above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed
to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from
5th February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the
period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated
to take place between 5th February 2024 and 12th February 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
north eastbound – Whitehouse Lane (part unaffected), Hereford
Street, Malago Road, Sheene Road, East Street,
Cannon Street, Dean Lane, Catherine Mead
Street, Lombard Street, St. John’s Road,
Coronation Road, New Charlotte Street, Regent
Road, Bedminster Parade, Philip Street
south westbound – Philip Street, East Street, Dalby Avenue,
Malago Road, Hereford Street, Whitehouse Lane

(BROOMHILL ROAD, BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to
close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Broomhill Road from
St. Helier Avenue south eastwards for 97 metres.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed
to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from
15th February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the
period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to
take place between 15th February 2024 and 16th February 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Broomhill Road (part unaffected), School Road,
Church Hill, Brislington Hill, Bath Road, Emery Road, Broomhill Road
(part unaffected) and vice versa
(GRANGE COURT ROAD, HENLEAZE, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to
close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Grange Court Road from
Westbury Road eastwards for 238 metres.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed
to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from
10th February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the
period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to
take place between 10th February 2024 and 18th February 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Grange Court Road (part unaffected), Brecon
Road, Westbury Road and vice versa
(ROYATE HILL, EASTVILLE, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of
the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Royate Hill which
extends from Fishponds Road southwards for 218 metres; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, the existing one way traffic working in
a south easterly direction in Bridge Street so as to allow access
and egress for vehicles.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed
to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from
21st February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole
of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are
anticipated to take place between 21st February 2024 and
27th March 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fishponds Road, Lodge Causeway, Berkeley
Road, Whitefield Road, Brook Road, Whitehall Road, Gordon Road,
Rose Green Road and vice versa
