ORDER 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on
25th January 2024 the Council of the City of
Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under
Sections 1, 2, 4, 29 and Part IV of Schedule 9
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which
amends the City of Newcastle upon Tyne
Traffic Regulation (Consolidation) Order 2009
(“the 2009 Order”).
2. The effect of the Order which will come into
operation on 4th March 2024 is to increase
in length an existing no waiting at any time
restriction (double yellow lines) on Back
Chillingham Road (west side). The new length
of restriction will be as follows -
Back Chillingham Road (west side) from its
junction with Meldon Terrace in a southerly
direction for a distance of 46 metres
(currently extends from its junction with
Meldon Terrace in a southerly direction for a
distance of 34 metres).

proposing to make the Order), please email a

4. If you wish to question the validity of the
above Order or of any of its provisions on
the grounds that it or they are not within
the powers conferred by the Act or that
any relevant requirements have not been
complied with in relation to the Order
you may, within six weeks from
25th January 2024, apply to the
High Court for this purpose.
