B369 Walton Road, West Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B369 Walton Road, West Molesey that extends from its junction with A3050 Hurst Road, to its junction with D6927 Molesey Avenue.
2. Suspend “The Borough of Elmbridge (New Road, Rosemary Avenue and Weston Avenue, West Molesey) (Prohibition of Heavy Goods Vehicles) Order, 1989” insofar as affects D6946 New Road, West Molesey.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Walker Construction (UK) Limited to install a new footpath and/or carry out improvements and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 5 months of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to any property will be affected.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times via a temporary footway. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses and cyclists will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Walton Road, New Road, Hurst Road and Terrace Road.
D676 Lower Manor Road, Milford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles and cyclists from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D676 Lower Manor Road, Milford.
This Traffic Order is required to enable NIO Comm Ltd Civil engineering to carry out civil engineering and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in two sections, between the hours of 9am and 4pm within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: – Portsmouth Road and Upper Manor Road.
A286 Haslemere Road, Brook
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A286 Haslemere Road, Brook that extends from the northern access road for “Upper Birtley”, to the access road for “Old Birtley”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 1pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: – Haslemere Road, Petworth Road, Rodgate Lane, Petworth Road and Haslemere Road.
Lyfield (D6863) Oxshott
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Lyfield (D6863) Oxshott.
Alternative Route: Waverley Road. This Order is required to facilitate electrical connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Windmill Lane (D6800) Long Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Windmill Lane (D6800) Long Ditton that is crossed by the rail over road bridge that is identified as “BML1 2/49” and for a distance of 30 metres to either side.
Alternative Route: Windmill Lane, Effingham Road, St Mary’s Road, Fleece Road, and Windmill Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate detailed bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 9pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
Guildford Street (D3040) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Guildford Street (D3040) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (B375) London Street to its junction with (B375) Heriot Road and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council B375 London Street, B375 Heriot Road, D3040 Guildford Street, and D3040 Free Prae Road Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022”; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Guildford Street (D3040) and Guildford Street (B375) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects the lengths of roads specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (B375) London Street and (B375) Heriot Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Ongar Road (D3101) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Ongar Road (D3101) Addlestone.
This Order is required to facilitate urgent tree and vegetation works for, or on behalf of Connect Plus Services.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (C47) The Green to its junction with the access to the properties known as “Firethorn Farm Cottage” and “Firethorn House” and, (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: (D276) Plough Lane, (D276) North Breache Lane, (B2127) Ockley Road, and (B2127) The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
Eashing Lane (D94) Milford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Eashing Lane (D94) Milford as extends from its junction with (A3100) Portsmouth Road to its junction with (D5425) Franklyn Road and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Eashing Lane (D94) Milford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Eashing Lane, (A283) Guildford Road, and (A3100) Portsmouth Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate remedial telecom works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
Woodthorpe Road (C240) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Right Turn Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound on Woodthorpe Road (C240) Ashford from turning right into (C248) Kingston Road.
Alternative Route: Eastbound on (C248) Kingston Road, (B377) Kingston Road, (A308) Staines By-pass Roundabout, head westbound on (B377) Kingston Road, and (C248) Kingston Road.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibitions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Pitch Hill (C46) Ewhurst
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pitch Hill (C46) Ewhurst which extends from its junction with Peaslake Road to a point 30m north-west of the junction with Moon Hall Road; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Pitch Hill (C46) Ewhurst Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it relates to the length of Pitch Hill as specified above only.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to carry out water works and/or connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 7 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. (Note: A “hard closure” will be impose at the Pitch Hill end of the closure. Access will be facilitated from the Peaslake Road end of the closure.)
Alternative Route – Pitch Hill, Shere Road, The Street, Cranleigh Road, Bookhurst Road, Barhatch Lane, Hound House Road and Pitch Hill.
Station Lane (C32) Enton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Lane (C32) Enton that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Milford Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres on either side.
Alternative Route – Station Lane; A286 Church Road/Petworth Road; Lane End; Malthouse Lane; Hambledon Road; and Station Lane or this same route in reverse.
The Order is required to facilitate railwway crossing maintenance and/or railway inspection and/or railway maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 28 February 2024. Works are anticipated to be carried out in two stages: (1) over 2 nights between the hours of 11pm and 5am commencing 28 February 2024; and (2) over 2 night between the hours of 12.30pm and 3.30am commencing 17 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for the emergency services will be via the diversion route.
D265 Lower Road, Effingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D265 Lower Road, Effingham that extends from its junction with C43 The Street, to the western side of its junction with D266 Church Street.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out desilting and/or telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Blackwater Valley Road (A331) and Runfold Diversion (A31) Tongham Temporary Speed Limit Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (a) Blackwater Valley Road (A331) Tongham as extends from a point of 500 metres on the southbound carriageway to its junction with (A31) Runfold Diversion (Runfold Roundabout); (b) Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham as extends from a point of 210 metres on the eastbound (Slip Road) carriageway to its junction with (A31) Runfold Diversion (Runfold Roundabout); (c) Runfold Diversion (A31) Tongham as extends from its junction with the (Slip Road) (C119) The Street and for a distance of 210 metres on the westbound carriageway to its junction with (A31) Runfold Diversion (Runfold Roundabout); (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Guildford and Waverley) (Speed Limit De-Restriction) Order 1994” and/or any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the lengths of roads or any parts of the lengths of roads specified and described in this Notice.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone for improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 7pm and 5am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 March 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to: (1) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice and (2) Suspend “The Borough of Spelthorne (Groveley Road Sunbury On Thames) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1995” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in the Order.
This Order, which will commence on 01 March 2024 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway/footway patching and/or carriageway/ footway surface dressing and/or carriageway/ footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.
During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Gasden Lane (D143) & Yew Tree Road (D144) Witley, Godalming which extends from: (a) the northwestern property boundary line of “New Dawn” to the southeastern property boundary line of “The Goodwins”. (b) the northeastern property boundary line of “3 Yew Tree Road” to its junction with Gasden Lane (D143).
The effect of this order will be suspending the entire length of Gasden Lane (D143) Witley, Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023.
Alternative Route – Haslemere Road (A286), Petworth Road (A283), Wheeler Lane (D143) and Cramhurst Lane (D144) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 days, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.
Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, pedal cyclists and equestrians from entering or proceeding in that length of Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming which extends from its junctions with A3100 Flambard Way to its junction with Croft Road and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable BT to cabling and/or ducting works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times by using steel plates, as will access for pedestrians. Pedal cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the diversion route.
Diversion Route 1 – Brighton Road, The Drive, Park Road, Tuesley Lane, Shackstead Lane, Ockford Road and Flambard Way;
Diversion Route 2 – Flambard Way, U-Turn back on Flambard Way, Ockford Road, Shackstead Lane, Tuesley Lane, Park Road and The Drive. Cyclists/Equestrians Diversion Route: Eastbound – Flambard Way, Wharf Street, High Street, Holloway Hill and Croft Road; Westbound – Flambard Way, Holloway Hill and Croft Road; Northbound – Croft Road, Holloway Hill and Flambard Way.
D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to fit a stop tap and/or boundary box and/or to carry out water mains service pipe repairs and/or connection and/or maintenance works in D3886 Waverley Road, Weybridge that extends from its junction with D3886 Melrose Road, southward for 30m.
These works are anticipated to be carried out from 8am to 4pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Melrose Road, Heath Road and Waverley Road.
Midleton Industrial Estate Road (D4002) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Midleton Industrial Estate Road (D4002) Guildford.
This Order is required to carry out carriageway surfacing works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure for residents and businesses. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
