What is happening?

The Council of The London Borough of Redbridge The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Greater London Council Act 1972 and Sections 6,45,46,49 and 121A and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers, propose to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to:

1. Install double yellow lines in; i) Herent Drive, opposite Nos. 8 to 10 and 14 to 18; ii) Marion Close, entire length of the north-east side, and adjacent to Nos. 1 and 2, outside Nos. 5 to 8 iii) at the junctions of Mellows Road and Stradbroke Grove, Melbourne Road and Ingleby Road, Hertford Road and Stainforth Road, Hertford Road and Buxton Road, Hertford Road and Brook Road; iv) Norman Road, outside No 86 (extension of existing double yellow lines); v) Hertford Road opposite Nos. 14,18 to 20 and outside the eastern most entrance to Newbury House;

2. Extend payment parking bays operating Monday-Saturday 8.30am - 6.30pm with a maximum stay of 4 hours, no return within 1 hour (Tariff J) in Buckingham Road, outside the pedestrian entrance to St Mary's Church;

3. Install Disabled Persons Parking bays in Buckingham Road, adjacent to the entrance of St Mary's Church Cemetery;

4. Extend single yellow line, operational Monday - Saturday 8.30am - 6.30pm outside No 172 Balfour Road, No 23 Kent View Gardens and 42 to 44 Richmond Road;

5. Install Payment Parking bays, operational Monday - Saturday, 8.30am - 6.30pm, maximum stay of 5 hours, no return within 1 hour (Tariff A), in Hertford Road, the north side between its junction with Stainforth Road and Brook Road; Brook Road, between its junctions with Eastern Avenue and Hertford Road;

6. Revoke existing underlying waiting and parking restrictions at all locations mentioned in sections 1 to 5 of this notice.

7. Introduce new on-street Tariff A for Newbury Park; up to 1 hour free, up to 2 hours £1.00, up to 5 hours £3.00.

8. Online application charges (per address): first resident permit £17 for 6 months, £22.50 for 12 months; second additional resident permit £61.75 for 6 months, £123.50 for 12 months; third and subsequent additional resident permit £111.50 for 6 months, £223 for 12 months. Visitor permits £12 for 10 permits. Business permits £260 for 6 months, £520 for 12 months. School staff permits £86.70 for 4 months or £241.50 for 12 months. Permit(s) free of charge for disabled badge holders and fully electric vehicles. Any applications not made online will incur an additional £24.75 charge per permit (except Visitor and School staff permits).

A copy of the Order, the map schedules and map schedule legend indicating the location and the effects may be examined at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford IG1 1NY between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays). Any representation in relation to the proposed Orders must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and sent to the council by email to: parking.schemes@redbridge.gov.uk or by writing to: Parking Design team, 2nd Floor, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY (quoting reference LBR. 2024/T1), within 21 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
