THE M5 AND M42 MOTORWAYS (M5 JUNCTION 4A) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION

OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363)

intends to make an Order on the M5 and M42 Motorways, in the County of Worcestershire, to enable cable works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times -

(1) the westbound carriageway of the M42 from its junction with the exit slip at Junction 1, to its junction with the southbound carriageway of the M5 at Junction 4a; and

(2) the link road leading from the southbound carriageway of the M5 at Junction 4a, to the eastbound carriageway of the M42.

The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 on weeknights and between 20:00 hours on Saturdays and 10:00 hours on Sundays and is expected to start on Monday 19 February 2024 and continue for approximately eight weeks. The Order will come into force on 18 February 2024. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
