What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council has
made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The titles and effects of the Orders are as follows: 1. CITY OF
MANCHESTER (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (MANCHESTER
CITY CENTRE) (NO.7) ORDER 2005 (AMENDMENT NO.17)
ORDER 2024 - CYCLE DOCKING STATION PARKING PLACE
(for hired cycles) - AT ALL TIMES ON ALL DAYS - Adair Street,
north-west side, from 3.4m north-east of Betley Street
north-easterly to 13m north-east of Betley Street, having a
width throughout of 2m; and NO WAITING AT ANY TIME - Adair
Street, north-west side, from Betley Street north-easterly
for 3.4m. 2. CITY OF MANCHESTER (CONTROLLED PARKING
ZONE) (MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE) (NO.9A) ORDER 2003
(AMENDMENT NO.7) ORDER 2024 - CYCLE DOCKING STATION
PARKING PLACE (for hired cycles) - AT ALL TIMES ON ALL DAYS -
Oak Street, north-west side, from 24m north east of Copperas
Street north-easterly for 10m, having a width throughout of
2m. 3. CITY OF MANCHESTER (BOOND STREET, ANCOATS AND
BESWICK) (PEDAL CYCLE PARKING PLACE, PROHIBITION OF
WAITING AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2024 - CYCLE DOCKING
STATION PARKING PLACE (for hired cycles) - AT ALL TIMES
ON ALL DAYS - (i) Boond Street, north-east side, from 27m
north west of Pollard Street north-westerly to its cul-de-sac
end, having a width throughout of 2m; and (ii) Boond Street,
south-west side, from 27m north west of Pollard Street northwesterly
to its cul-de-sac end, having a width throughout
of 2m; and NO WAITING AT ANY TIME - Boond Street, the
culde- sac end, from 2m north east of its south-western extent
in a north-easterly direction to 2m south west of its north
eastern extent; and Boond Street, both sides, from Pollard Street
north-westerly for 27m 4. CITY OF MANCHESTER (CONTROLLED
PARKING ZONE) (MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE) (NO.19) ORDER
2003 (AMENDMENT NO.20) ORDER 2024 - Pay & Display
Parking Place - Maximum Length of Stay 2 Hours, No Return
Within 1 Hour, 8am-8pm on All Days (or Resident Permit A & B,
Mon-Fri 8-9am & 5-8pm & Sat & Sun 8am-8pm, Convenience
Ticket, Mon-Fri 9am-1pm & 1-5pm) on - Whitworth Street,
north-west side, from 3m north east of Atwood Street
north-easterly to 9.5m south west of Beaver Street, having a
width throughout of 2m. The pay and display parking charges
will be - up to 30 minutes - £1.45; up to 1 hour - £2.90; up to
1 hour 30 minutes - £4.30; and up to 2 hours - £5.80. Existing
Orders are amended to facilitate the above. The Orders were
made on 23 January 2024 and will come into operation on
5 February 2024. Copies of the made Orders, the plans and a
copies of the Orders that have been amended may be inspected
at Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension
M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am
and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. Anyone wishing to
question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained in
them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred
by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement
of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been
complied with in relation to the Orders may within 6 weeks
from 23 January 2024 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
