ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Silver Moor Lane, Banwell, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 25 March 2024 -Ref: SW23.24-294
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 25 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 11 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-299
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas main. This will become operative on the 11 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 30 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Max Mill Lane, Winscombe, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 19 February 2024 -Ref: SW23.24-317
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to remove bell mouths and restore road. This will become operative on the 19 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

South Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 12 February 2024 - Ref: T24-01
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the schedule to this notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work.
This order is required because of traffic calming works and will become operative on 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 16 weeks. Appropriate traffic signs, cones, road safety barriers and traffic diversion route signage will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - South Road from a point 148m northwest of its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 80m in a southerly direction.
Alternative routes - Queens Road, Upper Church Road, Highbury Road and vice-versa.
Atlantic Road South, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 20 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-292
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to for ducting works. This will become operative on the 20 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice of Making Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Swiss Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Order 2023 - Ref: PMV/JB/SWISS ROAD
Notice is hereby given that on the 19 January 2024, North Somerset Council made the following Order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to impose a prohibition of motor vehicles to a section of Swiss Road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice, with an exemption for pedal cycles. The Order come into operation on the 22 January 2024 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the council's statement of reason for making the Order may be inspected at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks after the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022
(Variation 8) Order 2024 - Ref: 2323/JBKF/2023
Notice is hereby given that on the 19 January 2024, North Somerset Council made the following Order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the Order shall be to install parking restrictions in the Weston-super-Mare area. The extents of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order came into operation on the 22 January 2024 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council's statement of reason for making the Order may be inspected at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks after the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
