A580 East Lancashire Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Turns

What is happening?

Salford City Council intends in no less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make the CITY OF SALFORD (A580 EAST LANCASHIRE ROAD)TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TURNS) ORDER 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will temporarily prohibit vehicles from making a right turn from:- Eastbound A580 East Lancashire Road into Lancaster Road and Lancaster Road into Eastbound A580 East Lancashire; and from making a left turn from:- Westbound A580 East Lancashire Road into Lancaster Road. Diversions will be signed locally and as follows; Right turn from eastbound A580 into Lancaster Road: A6 Manchester Road - A6 Roundabout - Daisy Bank Avenue - Swinton Park Road. Left turn from westbound A580 into Lancaster Road: A6 Roundabout - Daisy Bank Avenue - Swinton Park Road. Right turn from Lancaster Road onto eastbound A58: Swinton Park Road - Bolton Road - A6 Roundabout. The order required as part of the A580 East Lancashire Road, Lancaster Road, and Worsley Road junction improvement scheme.
The Order is due to come into operation on 1 March 2024 and will continue in effect for 120 days, unless the works are completed in a shorter period.

A copy of the Order and a plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive.
