Order made: To close that part of A422 Alcester Road (Layby only) from its junction with A422 Alcester Road to
its junction with Sands Road.
Reason: Landing area for storage of chippings for surface dressing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: No diversion as layby closure only.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 243 days (24hrs). Commencing: 1 February 2024.
(C2078 Broughton Hackett (Layby only), Broughton Hackett) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of the Layby only on C2078 Broughton Hackett to Crowle from its junction with A422 Broughton Hackett to Upton Snodsbury for a distance of 180 metres in a Westerly direction. Reason: Landing area for storage of chippings for surface dressing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2078 Broughton Hackett to Crowle, A422 Broughton Hackett to Upton Snodsbury and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 243 days. Commencing: 1 February 2024.

Order made: To close that part of C2243 Horne Lane from its junction with B4197 Hillside to its junction with U64609 Prickley Green.
Reason: BT pole testing by Openreach.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Order made: To close that part of C2066 Maples Cross Farm (Layby only) from its junction with U62260 Maples
Cross Farm for its entire length.
Reason: Landing area for storage of chippings for surface dressing by WCC.

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50490 Sansome Mews from its junction with C2294
Sansome Walk to its junction with Surman Street (NSG ref 45001046).
Reason: Footpath reconstruction by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2294 Sansome Walk, U50113 St. Oswalds Road, Surman Street (NSG ref 45001046) and vice versa.

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2225 North Piddle Lane to Bishampton from its junction with U43200 North Piddle Lane for a distance of 175 metres in a north easterly direction.
Reason: Remedial Works by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

(B4205 St Martins Gate, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of B4205 St Martins Gate from its junction with A38 City Walls Road to its junction with B4205 Pheasant Street in one direction only from west to east.
Reason: Remedial works by Kier Utilities.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4205 Pheasant Street, B4205 Lowesmoor Terrace, B4205 Lowesmoor Place, B4205 Shrub Hill Road, B4205 Midland Road, B4205 Wylds Lane, A44 London Road, A44 Sidbury, A38 City Walls Road and vice versa.

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2067 Lightwood Lane from its junction with C2066 Broadheath Common
to its junction with A44 Bromyard Road.
Reason: Safe working for overhead Fibre cabling works by Openreach.

Proposed Order: To close that part of Link Footpath F50265 Barbel Crescent (between Nos. 10 and 11) from its junction with U52275 Barbel Crescent to its junction with A38 Worcester Road.
Reason: Drainage/flood alleviation works by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Order made: To close that part of B4205 Sansome Street from its junction with A38 Foregate Street to its junction with A38 Sansome Walk and to temporarily part suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Various Roads, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1977 for the duration of the works to allow access for residents and business. Reason: Installation of new crossing point by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

(Temporary 50 mph Speed Limit) Order) 2024
Order made: To impose a temporary 50 mph speed limit on that part of A449 Worcester Northern Link from its
junction with M5, J6 Motorway Island to its junction with A4536 Blackpole Road.
Reason: Bridge maintenance by WCC.
Exemptions: Special Forces vehicles.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 27 days (24hrs). Commencing: 4 February 2024.
