Barton Road - Temporary Road Closure For Fibre Optic Network Works

Temporary Closure of Barton Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Barton Road - from the junction with Sub Road to the junction with Harepits Lane. A total distance of 441 metres.
This Order will enable Gigaclear to carry out excavation works to build chamber on fibre optic network.
The Order becomes effective on 15th February 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 19th February 2024 and last until 23rd February 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
