Footpath WS 14/47 (part) in the parish of West Pennard Public Path Diversion Order, 2023
On 19th January 2024 Somerset Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of public footpath WS 14/47, starting from OS grid ref ST 53762, 37734 (point B) and running in a generally north north easterly direction for 84 metres to OS grid ref ST 53795, 37811 (point A) TO a route starting from OS grid ref ST 53762, 37734 (point B) and running in a generally easterly direction for 12 meters to OS grid ref ST 53773, 37730 (point D) then generally north north east for 79 metres to OS grid ref ST 53798, 37806 (point C) as shown on the order map. The width will be 2 metres.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel: 01823 359 520) at Somerset Council, County Hall, The Crescent, Taunton, TA1 4DY from 9am until 3pm Monday to Friday. The order comes into force on 16 February 2024, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks of 1st February 2024, make an application to the High Court
