What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 15.54/84/1 Pannal, Order 2021 No 254 Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 15.54/84/1 Pannal, between grid reference SE30235134 & SE30275137 due to public safety reasons following footpath collapse has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 05/02/25 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Station Road, Knaresborough, Order 2024, No. 43 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Station Road, Knaresborough for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 15/02/24 & 16/02/24, however the max duration of this Order is until 22/02/24, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Hymas Court, Burton Leonard, Amendment No 42, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that on 26/01/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Harrogate) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified:- Schedule, Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time. Hymas Court, Burton Leonard, Harrogate, South east side from a point 124m east of its junction with Copgrove Road (C377) for a distance of 23m in a north easterly direction. Hymas Court, Burton Leonard, Harrogate, North west side from a point 124m east of its junction with Copgrove Road (C377) to a point 147m east of its junction with Copgrove Road. Hymas Court, Burton Leonard, Harrogate, South west side from its junction with the main arm of Hymas Court for a distance of 21.9m in a north westerly direction. Hymas Court, Burton Leonard, Harrogate, North east side from its junction with the main arm of Hymas court for a distance of 21.9m in a north westerly direction. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 26/01/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal & Burn Bridge, Parking & Waiting, Amendment No 53, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Harrogate) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified: Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking With Exemptions Orchard Close, Knaresborough (U1017/3/70), Both sides, on the western side of Orchard Close, the double yellow road markings start from a point 2.3 metres north east of its intersection point with the projected south east boundary line of no 4 Orchard Close in a north westerly direction for 30 metres. On the eastern side of Orchard Close, the double yellow road markings start from a point 7.4 metres north east of its intersection point with the projected south east boundary line of no 4 Orchard Close in a north westerly direction for 45 metres. On the western side of Orchard Close starting directly opposite the termination point on the eastern side for a length of 30 metres in a south westerly direction, terminating at Orchard Close spur, 4 metres past the give way markings. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Knaresborough Library, Town Centre, 40 Market Place, Knaresborough, HG5 8AG during normal office hours from 01/02/24 until 23/02/24 & also viewed online at
