What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Weeland Road, Eggborough, Order 2024, No. 38 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Weeland Road, Eggborough for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 19/02/24 & 19/07/24, however the max duration of this Order is until 19/10/24, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 35.43/9/1, Kirk Smeaton Order 2023 No 277 Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 35.43/9/1, Kirk Smeaton, between grid reference SE49341706 & SE49311700 due to works being carried out on Wentedge Road Bridge has been continued in force for a further 6 months until 06/08/24 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The further continuation of the closure will be put into effect by notices & signs. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No 41, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that on 26/01/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing the restrictions specified:- Schedule 1, Waiting Prohibited at all Times with Exemptions Carlton, Hirst Road (Hepworth’s Lane), Carlton, North & South side, from junction of High Street to 20m onto Hirst Road (Hepworth’s Lane), Carlton. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 12/02/24, together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate, Selby, YO8 4EQ during normal office hours from 01/02/24 to 09/03/24 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or

If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 26/01/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
