2) Temporarily suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on
Brecks Lane, Brecks Lane Ru71, Kirk Sandal that form part of
the diversion route.

In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding or
waiting in that length of Owston Road at Carcroft in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public
and the workforce whilst carriageway resurfacing works
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Owston Road, Owston Lane,
Askern Road, and vice versa. Those residents and businesses
directly affected by the works are to be notified of the scheme
to include access arrangements.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed
by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being
issued and the subsequent removal of a vehicle.

will be to prohibit any vehicle/pedestrian from proceeding in
that section of road that comprises of the railway level

following damage to existing flood defence assets.

On 17th November 2023, the Secretary of State for
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above
order, made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed will create public
footpaths shown by a bold broken line on the order map and
described in the Schedule to this notice.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be
seen free of charge at City of Doncaster Council, Public
Rights of Way Section, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster
DN1 3BU from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and
copies may be bought there at a price of £10.00. They may

The order comes into force on the 1st February 2024 but if a
person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or

On the 17th day of November 2023, the Secretary of State for
the Environment confirmed the above order, made under
section 118A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the
Transport and Works Act 1992).
The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish the entire
width of that length of public footpath number 10 (Part) at
Rossington commencing at Grid Reference SK 6296 9702
(Point A) on the west side of the fence alongside the East
Coast Main Line, proceeding in an east direction for 56
metres to Grid Reference SK 6302 9703 (Point B) on the east
side of the line, as shown on the order map by a continuous
bold black line.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the map contained in it
has been placed and may be seen free of charge at City of

Waterdale, Doncaster DN1 3BU from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
