THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MEADOW LANE, SALCOMBE ROAD, LYDFORD ROAD
AND DUNSFORD ROAD, ALFRETON)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

Derbyshire County Council proposes making an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to restrict waiting by vehicles (except those delivering or collecting goods or loading and unloading) on the following lengths of road:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME
Dunsford Road
North Side
From its junction with Meadow Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 117 metres.
South Side
From its junction with Meadow Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 103 metres.
West Side
From a point 30 metres north of its junction with Lydford Road in a northerly then easterly direction for a distance of 113 metres.
East Side
From a point 82 metres north of its junction with Lydford Road in a northerly, then easterly direction for a distance of 65 metres.
Lydford Road, Alfreton
South Side
From its junction with Meadow Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 153 metres.
Meadow Lane
West Side
From a point 14 metres south of its junction with Lydford Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 26 metres.
Salcombe Road
North Side
From its junction with Meadow Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres.
From its junction with Salcombe Road (Industrial Side Road) centre line in a westerly direction for a distance of 51 metres.
South and Southwest Side
From its junction with Meadow Lane in an easterly then south-easterly direction to its junction with Mansfield Road.
East Side
From a point 17 metres south of its junction with Salcombe Road (Industrial Side Road) in a southerly direction for a distance of 56 metres.
From a point 93 metres south of its junction with Salcombe Road (Industrial Side Road) in a southerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
From a point 54 metres south-east of its junction with Wood Street North in north westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
LIMITED WAITING 40 MINUTES NO RETURN WITH 1 HOUR MONDAY TO SATURDAY 8AM TO 6PM
East Side
From a point 73 metres south of its junction with Salcombe Road (Industrial Side Road) in a southerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
REVOCATIONS
LIMITED WAITING 40 MINUTES NO RETURN WITH 1 HOUR MONDAY TO SATURDAY 8AM TO 6PM
North-east Side
From a point 27 metres south-east of its junction with Wood Street North in a south easterly direction for a distance of 27 metres.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or duties taking in petrol etc, from any garage situated within the lengths of road; or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles will also apply.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the offices of the Derbyshire County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Matlock between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday until 6 weeks after the Order is made, and at Alfreton Library, Severn Square, Alfreton DE55 7BQ or upon request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made.
All objections and other representations to the proposal must be made in writing and all objections must state the grounds on which they are made; must give name and full postal address of the person making them; and be sent to the Executive Director – Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team) or email highways.hub@derbyshire.gov.uk by 23rd February 2024.
