NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Various Roads Within Crewe & Nantwich
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes
to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Dane Bank Avenue, Crewe – For its full extent.
Manor Way, Crewe – For its full extent.
Mellor Street, Crewe – For its full extent.
Queens Drive, Nantwich – For its full extent.
Whitchurch Road, Bulkeley and Ridley/Spurstow – For its full extent.
Shavington ByPass, Weston and Crewe Green, Shavington/Rope/Stapeley and District –
For its full extent.
Over Road, Church Minshull – For its full extent.
Remer Street, Crewe – For its full extent.
Middlewich Street, Crewe – For its full extent.
Acer Avenue, Crewe – For its full extent.
Wrexham Road, Faddiley – For its full extent.
Bright Street, Crewe – For its full extent.
Samuel Street, Crewe – For its full extent.
Gingerbread Lane, Nantwich – For its full extent.
Elm Drive, Crewe – For its full extent.

This order will come into operation on Monday 19 February 2024 and will continue in force
for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the
highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 18 August 2025.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Radway Green Road, Barthomley
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made
an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Radway Green Road, Barthomley – From 50m either side of the
level crossing.
The alternative route will be via Radway Green Road, Crewe Road, Butterton Lane, Butterton
Lane Service Road, Barthomley Road, Old Park Road, Weston Road Roundabout, Weston Road,
Meremoor Roundabout, Newcastle Road, A500 M6 J16 Roundabout and vice versa which is
considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Thursday 22 February 2024 and will continue in force for
18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway,
although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Saturday 2 March 2024.

Public Rights of Way Notice
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No.10 Buerton (Part)
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred
upon him by sub-section (5) of Section 15 of the aforementioned Act, has approved the Order effective
from the 27 July 2023 being extended and continuing in force until 31 March 2024, the effect
of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No.10 Buerton,
which commences at OS grid reference SJ 36834 34349 and runs in a generally north westerly
direction for approximately 97 metres to OS grid reference SJ 36825 34353.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by works being undertaken to
construct a new wastewater pumping station. An alternative route will be provided by the developer
at all times whilst the footpath is closed.
