(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NEWTOWN ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER NO.2 2024 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newtown Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1529 South Street south westwards to its junction with Portland Road, a distance of approximately 109m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B1529 (South Street/Potter Street/ Market Street), B1004 (High Street/Windhill/Great Hadham Road), Villiers Sur Marne Avenue, Whittington Way, B1383 London Road, Thorley Hill, Havers Lane, Cemetery Road, Scott Road, Apton Road and Newtown Road or via Newtown Road, Apton Road, Scott Road, Cemetery Road, Havers Lane, Thorley Hill, B1383 London Road, Whittington Way, Villiers Sur Marne Avenue, B1004 (Great Hadham Road/Windhill/High Street), Bridge Street, A1250 The Causeway, A1059 (Dane Street/Station Road) and B1529 South Street. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HAYMEADS LANE AND B1383 LONDON ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:- 1. that length of Haymeads Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the Haycroft/Cavell Drive roundabout north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with A1250 Dunmow Road, a distance of approximately 145m. An alternative route will be via Haymeads Lane, Highfield Avenue, Linkside Road, Beldams Lane, A1060 (Hallingbury Road/London Road) and A1250 Dunmow Road. 2. that length of B1383 London Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Whittington Way north eastwards to its junction with Pig Lane, a distance of approximately 215m. An alternative route will be via B1383 Thorley Street, A1184 (St James Way/ Bishops Park Avenue), A1250 (Hadham Road/Link Road/The Causeway/ Hockerill Street), A1060 London Road and B1383 London Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:- 1. that length of B1004 Rye Street, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the B1004 Michaels Road/Hazelend Road roundabout south westwards and southwards to its junction with B1004 Northgate End, a distance of approximately 1360m. An alternative route will be via B1004 Michaels Road, B1383 Stansted Road, A1250 (Hockerill Street/The Causeway/Link Road) and B1004 Northgate End. 2. that length of Whittington Way, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the Obrey Way/Friedberg Avenue roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the Bishops Avenue/Beaumont Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 443m. An alternative route will be via Obrey Way, A1184 St James Way, B1383 Thorley Street and Whittington Way. 3. that length of Stort Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1529 South Street north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 4. that length of Northolt Avenue, Bishops Stortford from its westernmost junction with Heath Row north westwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its easternmost junction with Heath Row, a distance of approximately 519m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 5. the road leading to Nos.61-75 Northolt Avenue, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Northolt Avenue north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 6. the road leading to Nos.93-99 Northolt Avenue, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Northolt Avenue north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 7. that length of Heath Row, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Lea Close north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 400m. An alternative route will be via Heath Row, Manston Drive and Heath Row. 8. that length of East Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with A1250 Dunmow Road south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 9. that length of Thorley Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Bishops Avenue south westwards and north westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 10. that length of Thorley Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Bishops Avenue north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A1184 LONDON ROAD, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2024 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1184 London Road, Sawbridgeworth from its junction with Station Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 137m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A1184 (London Road/Cambridge Road/ London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way), A120 (Hadham Road/ Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A120 (Wadesmill Bypass/(unnamed road), A10 Amwell Link Road, A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way) and A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road). ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NORTH TERRACE, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024 NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of North Terrace, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1004 Northgate End south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
