In the Parishes of Brympton and Yeovil (Temporary Closure of Footpath/Cycleway and Footpath) Order 2024
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary footpath/cycleway and footpath closures as specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 15th day of February 2024 and will remain in force for six months. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. The Works are expected to commence on the 19th day of February 2024 until the 29th day of March 2024 (between 08:00 hours and 17:00 hours) to enable Connect It Utilities Services to excavate the footpaths to enable electrical reinforcement works.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
