(RAINHAM NORTH) (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS)(AMENDMENT NO.16) ORDER 2024
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
Chalky Bank Road, Rainham
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above- mentioned Orders under sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Order will be to change two lengths of single yellow line (No waiting 8-10am Monday to Friday) to short-stay parking (Waiting limited to 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour, 8-10am Monday to Friday).
Chalky Bank Road
1.The north-east side;
(a) Replace 9 metres of the single yellow line outside Nos.31-33 with a parking bay
(b) Replace 9.5 metres of the single yellow line outside Nos.35-37 with a parking bay
Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to “Parking Design team” at the address specified in the paragraph below by Friday, 23 February 2024 stating name, address and the grounds for objection or support.
Copies of the Order, plan and of other documents giving more detailed particulars can be inspected at Chatham Library, Dock Road, Chatham ME4 4TX during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except for public holidays. Electronic copies of the documents can be requested by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding that requests may take up to 5 working days to be processed.

(MILTON ROAD, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -
Milton Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 27 Milton Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via St Johns Road, Rock Avenue and Byron Road.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(MAIDSTONE ROAD, ROCHESTER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a failing telephone pole to be removed and replaced -
Maidstone Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 383/385 Maidstone Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Hawser Road and The Tideway.
This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 13 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 13 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER)\
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to build a new joint box and lay approx 11m of duct -
High Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Furrels Road and to a point 40 metres north-westwards therefrom.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Manor Road, New Road and Star Hill.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within four days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
High Street, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 62 High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Star Hill, New Road and Manor Road.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(GODDINGTON ROAD, STROOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -
Goddington Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of the UKPN Sub-station. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Goddington Road, Frindsbury Road, Mill Road and Hillside Avenie.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 February 2024. Part 1 is programmed for completion within one day and the road will again be closed on 26 February for one day for Part 2 of the works. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable drainage works to be undertaken -
Cooling Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 30 Cooling Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Hollywood Lane, Wulfere Way, Frindsbury Hill and Bill Street Road.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 12 February 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12
(VARIOUS AREAS) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS)
(AMENDMENT NO. 10) ORDER 2024
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
Bell’s Lane, Farman Dr, Main Rd (Chattenden), Main Rd (Hoo), Ratcliffe Highway
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above- mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to make permanent the lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions introduced under an experimental order previously, as detailed:
(a) BELL’S LANE, HOO - on the south-west side, from a point 9 metres north- west of the north-western kerb-line of Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo to a point 16 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo;
(b) FARMAN DRIVE, HOO (i) on the north-east side, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo south-eastward for a distance of 8.5 metres, and (ii) on the south-west side, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres;
(c) MAIN ROAD, CHATTENDEN - on both sides of the road, from its junction with Main Road, Hoo to the eastern boundary of ‘Rushlands’, Main Road, Chattenden;
(d) MAIN ROAD, HOO - on both sides of the road, from a point 17 metres west of the western boundary of No. 252 Main Road, Hoo to its junction with Peninsular Way;
(e) RATCLIFFE HIGHWAY, HOO (i) on the north-west side, from its junction with Main Road, Hoo to the south-western boundary of ‘Sundown’, Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo (ii) on the south-east side, from its junction with Main Road, Hoo to the south-western boundary of ‘Coronation Bungalow’, Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo and (iii) on both sides, from the north-western kerb-line of the north-western vehicular access to ‘The Windmill’ public hours, Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo to its junction with Bell’s Lane, Hoo.
3. (AMENDMENT NO.11) ORDER 2024
NOTICE OF MAKING
Layby Adjacent To Four Elms Hill, Rochester (A228):
Provision Of Waiting Restrictions
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 29 January 2024 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 5 February 2024, will be to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions throughout both sides of the layby adjacent to the north-eastbound carriageway of Four Elms Hill, Rochester (A228) that provides vehicle access to Bridge Lodge, Four Elms Hill.
3. Copies of the Order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be arranged by email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by post to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
4. Persons wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
