SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Nethercote Hill (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. B) Rough Street, Corsham; from its junction with Lypiatt to its junction with Brookleaze to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of 16m pipework, valves and washout to replace old meter complex and associated works. Alternative route via Brookleaze - Locks Cross - Church Rise - Leafield Road - Elley Green - Lypiatt and vice versa. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) C216 (Part), Westwood; from its property known as No.70 Elm Cross for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out permanent reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via C216 (unaffected length) - C217 - B3109 - C216 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. E) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its property known as No.17 High Street to outside its property known as The Chapel, Melksham Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C150 (unaffected length) - Mons Lane - A350 - C155 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Local Diversion via C155 (unaffected length) - East Street - Church Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 2 days. F) Downs View (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its property known as No.64 Downs View to its property known as No.56 Downs View. G) Downs View (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its property known as No.72 Downs View to its property known as No.110 Downs View to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 for 2 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Slag Lane (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Frogmore Road to its junction with Hawkeridge Road. And to temporarily suspend the existing access for buses only Order on Hawkeridge Road to facilitate access to water treatment plant only to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge examination and associated works. Alternative route via Hawkeridge Road - B3097 - Slag Lane (unaffected length and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 21 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 for 1 night. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative route via Fairdown Avenue - Newtown - Castle View and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 31 January 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 for 3 days. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. B) Footpath 29, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Footpath 28, Bradford on Avon to its junction with Newtown to enable installation of ducting. Alternative route via alternative existing highways and rights of way. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 02 February 2024. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (WESTBURY, HEYWOOD
AND DILTON MARSH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION
OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 2024 (Previously advertised as 2023)
Notice is hereby given that on 17 January 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in Westbury in the Westbury, Heywood and Dilton Marsh Consolidation Order 2019 the effect of which will be to revoke Map Schedule Nos. FP28 and FQ28 dated 20th May 2019 and replace them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. FP28 and FQ28 dated 2nd February 2024, the effect of which is as follows: a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on Beech Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 7 metres in a north easterly direction; Cedar Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction; Hawthorn Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction; Hazel Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction; Queens Road - both sides - i) from a point 39 metres south of its junction with Beech Grove for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction ii) from a point 31 metres south east of its junction with Sycamore Grove for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction; Sycamore Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 7 metres in a north easterly direction; Willow Grove - both sides - from its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 8 metres in a north easterly direction; b) To introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.30am - 9.30am and 3pm - 4pm on Oldfield Park - both sides - from its junction with Oldfield Park for a distance of 58 metres in a south westerly direction; Oldfield Park - north west side - from a point 72 metres south west of its junction with Oldfield Park for a distance of 28 metres in a south westerly direction; Oldfield Park - all sides - the complete length of turning area at the south west end of Oldfield Park including access road to garages. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 2 February 2024.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (ALFRED STREET, BITHAM MILL AND GIBBS CLOSE, WESTBURY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024 (Previously advertised as 2023)
Notice is hereby given that on 17 January 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Alfred Street, Bitham Mill, and Gibbs Close, Westbury - the complete lengths. A copy of the Orders can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 2 February 2024.
