(Hough Street Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Hough Street Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Hough Street Tyldesley commencing on 26/02/2024 to 16/04/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Rawsthorne Street, Manchester Road and Cranshaw Street. The Order is necessary to allow gas mains diversion works.
(Church Lane Lowton - Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers
conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Church Lane Lowton - Temporary Closure) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Church Lane Lowton during the period of one day commencing on 24/02/2024 from 09:00 to 15:00.
The alternative route for traffic is: A580 East Lancashire Road - Stone Cross Lane North. The Order is necessary to allow a frame and cover replacement.
(Wardley Road Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Wardley Road Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Wardley Road Tyldesley commencing on 25/03/2024 to 08/05/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Rawsthorne Street, Manchester Road and Cranshaw Street. The Order is necessary to allow gas mains replacement works.
(Union Street Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Union Street Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Union Street Tyldesley for a period of three days commencing on 26/02/2024 to 28/02/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Shuttle Street, Oak Street and Ellesmere Street. The Order is necessary to allow remedial works for defective reinstatement.
(Sale Lane Back Service Road South 26-94, Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers
conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Sale Lane Back Service Road South 26-94, Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Sale Lane Back Service Road South 26-94, commencing on 26/02/2024 to 16/04/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Rawsthorne Street, Manchester Road and Cranshaw Street. The Order is necessary to allow the gas mains diversion works.
Bradshawgate, Union Street to Market Street Leigh - One Way Working
Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, all other enabling powers, Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Bradshawgate, Union Street to Market
Street Leigh) (One Way Working) Order 2024 which will come into operation on 01/02/2024.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce One Way Working on the following length of road:
• Bradshawgate Leigh from its junction of Union Street to its junction with Market Street in a westbound direction.
A copy of the proposed Order and of the relevant map and of a statement of the reasons for proposing to make the Order may be requested by emailing d.rumsey@wigan.gov.uk.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:
(a) That it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
(b) That any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 16/01/2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
(Chester Road Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Chester Road Tyldesley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Chester Road Tyldesley commencing on 08/04/2024 to 20/05/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Hillcrest Road and Lynton Road.
The Order is necessary to allow gas mains replacement works.
Footpath Tyldesley No. 148 (Part)) Temporary Closure
Notice of Extension
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has extended the above Order.
The effect of the extension will be to prohibit any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police Officer, from using the following paths until 5th February 2025 or until the completion of the work, whichever occurs sooner: Tyldesley No.148 from Point A at its junction with Garrett Lane as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 370744 401521, northeast to Point B at its junction with Lambert Meadow Road as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 370828 401639 for a distance of approximately 157 metres.
Please note there are no alternative routes available. The closures are necessary in the interests of public safety to allow site development.
