NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER SECTION 119 – HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC FOOTPATH E14 (PART) AT REMOUNT BARRACKS, IN THE UNPARISHED AREA OF MELTON MOWBRAY AND THE BOROUGH OF MELTON PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
The above Order made on 11th January 2024 will divert that part of Footpath E14 in the unparished area of Melton Mowbray and the Borough of Melton, shown by a bold continuous line on Plan No. 2630, which extends from grid reference 47384 31926, in a generally west north-westerly direction across one field, passing through a water feature, for a distance of approximately 210 metres to grid reference 47365 31935. The route to be diverted has no specified width.
The alternative route, Footpath, E14, in the unparished area of Melton Mowbray and the Borough of Melton, shown by a bold broken line on Plan No. 2630, will extend from grid reference 47365 31922, situated at a junction with Asfordby Road, approximately 190 metres west of grid reference 47384 31926, in a generally northerly direction on the western side of a hedge boundary for a distance of approximately 130 metres to re-join the existing Footpath at to grid reference 47365 31935. The new alternative Footpath will have a width of 3m from Asfordby Road to grid reference 47356 31935. A copy of the Order and map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200 Main Building, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RA and the offices of Melton Borough Council, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray LE13 1GH during office opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a cost.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to me at the undermentioned address quoting reference MP/HTWMT/5438 not later than 22nd February 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representation or objection is duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Leicestershire County Council may confirm the Order as unopposed. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
