Temporary Prohibition of Left and Right Turn Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling: – (a) travelling north-eastwards on Church Road (D6935) East Molesey from turning left into (A3050) Hurst Road.
Alternative Route: turn Right onto A3050 Hurst Road; A3050 Riverbank; A309 Hampton Court Way; Creek Road; Bridge Road; Wolesey Road; Church Road; Vine Road; and Hurst Lane; (b) travelling eastwards on Hurst Road (A3050) East Molesey from turning right into (D6935) Church Road.
Alternative Route: A3050 Hurst Road; A3050 Riverbank; A309 Hampton Court Way; Creek Road; Bridge Road; Wolsey Road; and Church Road; (c) travelling southwestwards on Graburn Way (D6935) East Molesey from turning left into (A3050) Hurst Road.
Alternative Route: Church Road; Palace Road; and Bridge Road; and (d) travelling westwards on Hurst Road (A3050) East Molesey from turning right into (D6935) Graburn Way, Alternative Route: Hurst Road (Westbound); Roundabout; Hurst Road (Eastbound); and Graburn Way.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow sewerage connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of RED Construction.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days within the 12- month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Various Roads in Dunsfold, Cranleigh and Ewhurst
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: –
a) That length of C33 Plaistow Road, Dunsfold that extends from its junction with C33 Wrotham Hill, to its junction with D161 Fisher Lane. Alternative route: – C33 Wrotham Hill, C35 Common House Road, C35 Alfold Road, C35 Dunsfold Road, B2133 Loxwood Road, B2133 Guildford Road, B2133 Loxwood High Street, Plaistow Road, Loxwood Road and C33 Dunsfold Road. b) The entire length of B2127 Ewhurst Road, B2127 Bookhurst Road and B2127 Cranleigh Road, Cranleigh and Ewhurst.
Alternative route: – C47 The Green, C47 Somersbury Lane and B2128 Horsham Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance and/or footway works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 5 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 27 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
A248 The Street and A25 Sherbourne, Albury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A248 The Street and A25 Sherbourne, Albury.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance and/or footway works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 5 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – From east of closure – A25 Shere Road, A25 Epsom Road, A246 Waterden Road, A246 York Road, A322 Onslow Street, A281 Millbrook, A281 Quarry Street, A281 Shalford Road, A281 The Street, A248 Kings Road, A248 New Road, A248 Dorking Road, A248 Chilworth Road and A248 The Street. From west of closure – A248 The Street, A248 Chilworth Road, A248 Dorking Road, A248 New Road, A248 Kings Road, A281 The Street, A281 Shalford Road, A281 Millbrook, A322 Onslow Street (Friary Bridge), A31 Farnham Road, A322 Bridge Street, A322 Onslow Street, A322 Woodbridge Road roundabout, A246 York Road, A246 Waterden Road, A246 Epsom Road, A25 Epsom Road and A25 Shere Road.

C10 Station Road, Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C10 Station Road, Egham that extends from its junction with C10 Manorcrofts Road, to its junction with B3407 Church Road. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Station Road (C10) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out footway works and/or highway dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Eastbound – B3407 Church Road, B3407 High Street, B388 Vicarage Road, B3376 New Wickham Lane, C10 Stroude Road and C10 Manorcrofts Road. Westbound – B3407 Church Road, B3407 High Street, A30 Egham Hill, A30 London Road, B389 Christchurch Road, C10 Stroude Road, B3376 New Wickham Lane, C10 Stroude Road and C10 Manorcrofts Road.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
The Street (A247) West Clandon
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (A247) West Clandon as extends from its junction with (A25) Epsom Road to its junction with (D852) Meadowlands.
Alternative Route: (a): (A25) Shere Road, (A25) Epsom Road, (A246) Epsom Road, (A3100) London Road, (A3100) Clay Lane, (A3) Guildford- Godalming By-pass, (A3) London Road, (B2215) London Road, (A247) Clandon Road, and (A247) The Street; and (b) (A247) The Street, (A247) Clandon Road, (A3) Ripley By-pass Southbound, (A3) London Road, (A3) London Burpham Slip Road, (A3100) London Road, (A246) Epsom Road, (A25) Epsom Road.
This Order is required to facilitate excavation works, along with new ducting works along the carriageway and footway for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Barhatch Lane (D192) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Barhatch Lane (D192) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with the access to the properties known as “Springfold, “The Old House, and “High Canfold Farm” to its junction with (D191) Amlets Lane.
Alternative Route: Barhatch Lane, Horseblock Hollow, Windmill Plain, Mill Hollow, Pitch Hill, Shere Road, (B2127) The Street, (B2127) Cranleigh Road, and (B2127) Bookhurst Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new customer connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Lower Breache Road (D278) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Lower Breache Road (D278) Cranleigh.
Alternative Route: North Breache Lane, (B2127) Ockley Road, and Lyefield Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation and replacement of telecom pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Woodland Avenue (D694) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Woodland Avenue (D694) Cranleigh.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new customer connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Ember Lane (B3379) Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ember Lane (B3379) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6899) Lower Green Road to its junction with (D6903) The Woodlands.
Alternative Route: (B3379) Station Road, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, (A309) Hampton Court Way, (B364) Embercourt Road, and (B3379) Ember Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways carriageway/footway patching and/or carriageway/ footway surface dressing and/or carriageway/ footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only.
Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion routes. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Tannery Lane (D235) Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tannery Lane (D235) Send which extends from its junction with Brook Lane to its junction with Clockbarn Lane and any parts thereof; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council D235 Tannery Lane and D236 Papercourt Lane, Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” and “The Surrey County Council D235 Tannery Lane Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” in their entirety.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, and the suspension of the Orders will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.
Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access to properties within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will not be maintained.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Alternative Route – Send Road, Send Marsh Road, Polesden Lane and Tannery Lane or vice versa.
Southway (D4001) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding in that length of Southway (D4001) Guildford which extends from its junction with Aldershot Road Road to its junction with Firsway and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable Nationwide Platforms to carry out telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 10am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access to properties within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will not be maintained.
Alternative Route – Aldershot Road, Broad Street, Broad Acres, Wood Rise, Park Barn Drive and Southway.
Ockham Lane (C38) Ockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockham Lane (C38) Ockham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ockham Cottage” north-eastwards for a distance of 70 metres.
Alternative Route – Ockham Lane; Alms Heath; and Ockham Road North or this same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow new mains water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Plus within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 4 days within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 29 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.

Hampton Court Half Marathon
(Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2024
Surrey County Council Propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which is to make the following temporary road traffic provisions: –
(1) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the First Schedule to this Notice and/or any parts thereof. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals;
(2) Prohibit vehicles from stopping or remaining at rest on the lengths of roads specified in the Second Schedule to this Notice, (anticipated to be in force between 8.15am and 10am);
(3) Prohibit vehicles from (a) making a left turn from A309 Hampton Court Way, East Molesey, into C160 Summer Road, Thames Ditton (anticipated to be in force between 9.15am and 11.30am); and (b) entering D6966 Weston Green Road, Thames Ditton, from the said A309 Hampton Court Way (9.30am to 10.30am).
The Order is required to facilitate the holding of an on-road event, namely the Hampton Court Half Marathon 2024 and will come into effect on 18 February 2024, for a period of one day.
The restrictions specified above will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal or any sign placed by Surrey Police.
Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic.
The prohibitions will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays the relevant traffic signs.
It is anticipated that the closures will take effect from 8.15am until 9.30am, except the western arm of B364 Giggs Hill Road (7amnoon), D6966 Weston Green Road (8.15am-11.30am) and Embercourt Road (9.30am-11.30am).
The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, vehicular access to premises situated in the roads specified in the First Schedule to this Notice, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted, save for emergency access as indicated above.
Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of “the Act”, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Such is the length and nature of the restrictions; the Council does not consider it practical to recommend alternative routes.

Ockham Lane (D6874) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockham Lane (D6874) Cobham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ockham Lane Nurseries” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Highfield”.
Alternative Route: (D6874) Ockham Lane, (C43) Old Lane, (C42) Horsley Road, (C42) Downside Road, (D6873) Plough Lane, and (D6874) Ockham Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new customer electrical connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford.
Alternative Route: (1) Turn Left onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, (A246) York Road, and (A320) Stoke Road; (2) Turn Left onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, at roundabout take third exit back onto (A322) Woodbridge Road, at roundabout take third exit back onto (A322) Woodbridge Road.
This Order is required to facilitate access to the manhole cover for maintenance works for, or on behalf of Enviromontel.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 9.30pm and 5am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Flambard Way (A3100) Godalming
Temporary Banned Left Turn Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound in the dedicated left-hand lane of Flambard Way (A3100) Godalming from turning left into (D5419) Woolsack Way.
Alternative Route: (A3100) Flambard Way, (D5419) Catteshall Lane, and (D5419) Woolsack Way.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 nights between the hours of 7pm and 5am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibitions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Vernon Way (D4001) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Vernon Way (D4001) Guildford which extends from its junction with Southway (D4001) to the western property boundary line of “No. 52 Vernon Way”.
The effect of this order will be suspending the Vernon Way (D4001), Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023 from its junction with Southway (D4001) to its junction with Linkway (D4001).
Alternative Route – Southway (D4001), Fairfield Rise (D4001) and Linkway (D4001).

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodside Road (D153) Godalming which extends from its junction with Queens Mead (D669) to the eastern property boundary line of “No. 1 Hope Cottages”.
Alternative Route – Woodside Road (D153), Coxcombe Lane (D155) and Petworth Road (A283).

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy which extends from its junction with Pirbright Road (A324) to the southeastern property boundary line of “Longerend Farm”.
Alternative Route – Hunts Hill Road (D60), Guildford Road (A323) and Pirbright Road (A324) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom work, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 February 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained within the closure.
Southway (D4001) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Southway (D4001) Guildford which extends from its junction with Pond Meadow Road to its junction with Park Barn Drive.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed between a 2-7 day duration, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Access for buses may be affected/
Alternative Route – Cabell Road and Park Barn Drive.
Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4019) St Johns Road to its junction with (D4019) Downing Avenue.
Alternative Route: (D4019) Raymond Crescent and (D4019) St Johns Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN.
