Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.17)
Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council
intends to make the above Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 10th
February 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND
PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FARLINGTON
AVENUE
From its junction with Havant
Road to its junction with
Evelegh Road.
B) TEMPORARY NO RIGHT TURN
HAVANT ROAD
(WESTBOUND)
At its junction with Farlington
Avenue.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 10th February 2024 to 16th February 2024 or
completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Havant Road,
Portsdown Avenue, Solent Road and Havant Road,
Galt Road, Evelegh Road. (Resident access will be
managed under marshal control as notified by
signage and letters to residents.)
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the
works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and
follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
