Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under S82(1) & (2)(a), 83(2), 84(1) and (2), and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

(Various Roads, Alresford, and Elmstead) (30mph Speed Limit and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 202* TRAF7822

Effect of the order: To Introduce: '40mph Speed Limit' (an existing National Speed Limit Road)

Road - Description

B1027 Brightlingsea Road, B1027 St Osyth Road (B1027 Colchester to Clacton Road) Alresford and Elmstead - From a point approximately 320 metres west of its junction with School Road, in a south-easterly direction for approximately 230 metres.

Effect of the order: To Introduce: '40mph Speed Limit' (an existing National Speed Limit Road) Road - Description

B1027 Flag Hill, and B1027 Colchester Road St Osyth - From its junction with B1027 Hollybush Hill, south eastwards for approximately 510 metres, to a point approximately 30 metres southeast of its junction with Frowick Lane.

Effect of the order: To Introduce: '30mph Speed Limit' (The road is currently 40mph)

Road - Description

B1027 Clacton Road Thorrington - From a point approximately 498 metres west of its junction with Church Road, west for approximately 252 metres.

The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (40mph Speed Limit) (No. 2) Order 2010' is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to those lengths of road in the Parishes of Alresford, St. Osyth, and Thorrington. 'The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Restricted Roads) (No.4) Order 2008' is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to those lengths of road, in the Parishes of Alresford, Elmstead, St. Osyth and Thorrington. All restrictions shall remain in force by virtue of the new Orders.

(Burrs Road/Heather Close & The Greenway, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Burrs Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 70m north east of its junction with Laurel Close for a distance of approximately 250m in a north easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Heather Close, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Burrs Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction.

3. To temporarily close that length of The Greenway, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Burrs Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 22nd February 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF7H7V2D/2DB & 2DC - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground structure access works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Burrs Road, Sladburys Lane, Holland Rod, Thorpe Road, North Road, St Johns Road, Valley Road, Burrs Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Coppins Road, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coppins Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 20m south east of its junction with Pathfields Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th February 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110149796-04 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while defect repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Coppins Road, Old Road, St Osyth Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, St. Osyth) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, St. Osyth in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 625m south west of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 220m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA74330467 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Heath Road, Clay Lane, Bypass Road, Clacton Road, St Johns Road, St Johns Roundabout, London Road B1441, Montana Roundabout, London Road, The Street, Weeley Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Walton Road/Dale Hill, Thorpe-le-Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Walton Road/ Dale Hill, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Landermere to the junction with Sneating Hall Lane a distance of approximately 1860m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110139810 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ferrule replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Sneating Hall Lane, Frinton Road, Abbey Street, Landermere Road, Walton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dale Hill, Kirby Le Soken & Walton Road, Thorpe-le-Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dale Hill, Kirby Le Soken & Walton Road, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Landermere Road to its junction with Sneating Hall Lane a distance of approximately 2495m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th February 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356008 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Sneating Hall Lane, Frinton Road, Abbey Street, Landermere Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(St Osyth Road, Little Clacton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Osyth Road, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 600m westerly then south westerly from the junction with Bovills Roundabout for a distance of approximately 85m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA74431759 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via St Osyth Road, St Osyth Road West, Bovills Way, Bovills Roundabout, Little Clacton Bypass, St Johns Roundabout, St Johns Road, Little Clacton Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(The Street, Kirby Le Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Kirby Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 75m north west of its junction with Greys Farm Close for a distance of approximately 250m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th February 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001113203 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while defect repair works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via The Street, Halstead Road, Frinton Road, Thorpe Road, Sneating Hall Lane, Walton Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
