What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Footpath 8 (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with B4014 to its junction with Lacemakers Road to enable footpath closure to allow development to take place. Alternative route via existing public rights of way and public highway. This Order will come into operation on 19 February 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 19 August 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: B) Footpath 28, Devizes; from its junction with Bridewell Street to its junction with Long Street to enable Wessex Water mains replacement - footpath closure Alternative route via Long Street - Bridewell Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 April 2024. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Waite Meads Close (Part), Purton; from its property known as No.09 Waite Meads Close for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out sewer repairs in the carriageway and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 February 2024 and the closure will be required until 04 March 2024. B) The Street (Part), All Cannings; from outside its property known as Rest Harrow for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovation and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via The Street (unaffected length) - Chandlers Lane -Lipgate - Greenhouse Road - The Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. The Street (Part), All Cannings;

C) Upper Isbury, Marlborough; from its junction with Cherry Orchard for its entire length to enable Gigaclear to carry out excavation of a narrow trench to install ducting. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 February 2024 and the closure will be required for 5 days. Upper Isbury, Marlborough;  No alternative route is available.

D) C92 (Part), Crudwell and Hankerton; from its junction with A429 to its junction with C83 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works and other associated works. Alternative route via C83 - C76 - A429 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 February 2024 and the closure will be required until 23 February 2024. E) A420 (Part), Chippenham; from its roundabout junction with A4 to its junction with New Road to enable Virgin Media to carry out connection between Virgin Media and Openreach networks and associated works. Alternative route via A420 (unaffected length) - A350 - A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: F) The Street (Part), Marden; from its property known as No.62 The Street to its junction with Old Marden Mill Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of buried underground fm chamber and telemetry ducting and other associated works. Alternative route via The Street (unaffected length) - Woodborough Road - Woodland Road - Patney Road - Small Street - The Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. G) C21 (Part), Collingbourne Ducis, Collingbourne Kingston and Grafton; from its junction with Cadley Road to its junction with A338 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works to stabilise and improve the roadside verges following years of overrunning having taken place. Works will also involve other highway remedial works where necessary (patching, sign repairs etc). Alternative route via A338 C92 (Part), Crudwell and Hankerton; A420 (Part), Chippenham;  The Street (Part), Marden;  C21 (Part), Collingbourne Ducis, Collingbourne Kingston and Grafton; - Cadley Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 09 February 2024. H) C199 (Part), Wootton Rivers and Savernake; from outside its property known as Pump House for a distance of approximately 200m in a north easterly direction to enable Dyer and Butler to carry out structural maintenance and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via C199 (unaffected length) - A346 -Ram Alley - Railway Lane - C267 - C199 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 3 days. I) Back Lane (Part), West Overton; from its junction with C38 for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out a new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Back Lane (unaffected length) -Junction Dene Farm - C38 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required for 4 days. J) Bayardo Lane (Part), Preshute; from its junction with A4 to its junction with Lockeridge Lane to enable Openreach to carry out access required to underground BT structure to provide service - work being carried out on existing BT plant. Alternative route via Manton Road - High Street - Bridge Street C199 (Part), Wootton Rivers and Savernake; Back Lane (Part), West Overton;  Bayardo Lane (Part), Preshute;

- Bath Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. K) C166 (Part), Seagry; from its junction with C82 for a distance of approximately 350m in a south westerly direction to enable Gigaclear to carry out works to install a duct in the carriageway and other associated works. Junction C179 South of Toplands Farm (Part), North Wraxall; from its junction with C151 for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement to two patches in carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via Ford C151 South East to Junction C179 South of Toplands Farm (unaffected length) -C179 - Giddeahall - A420 - C151 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 15:00 for 2 days. M) Sundays Hill (Part), Brinkworth; from its junction with Dead Lane to its junction with C66 to enable Wessex Water to carry out works to replace a cover and frame in the carriageway and other associated works. Alternative route via Sundays Hill (unaffected length) - Pink Lane - Queen Street - C88 -Washpool - Braydonside - Sundays Hill (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16;00 for 2 days. N) A429 (Part), St Paul Malmesbury Without; from its southern junction with C1 to its northern junction with C1 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via A429 (unaffected length) - B4042 - A3102 - A4 - A350 -A429 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 06 February 2024. O) Chelworth Road (Part), Cricklade; from its junction with C70 to its junction with The Forty to enable Thames Water to carry out works to install a new service connection and other associated works. Alternative route via C70 - B4040 - The Fiddle and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 and the closure will be required for 4 days. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (MARLBOROUGH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Marlborough) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2010 (with amendments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12), re-enact it in the above Order and to make the following amendments: a) To remove No Waiting at any time on Kennet Place - north side - from a point 20 metres east of the centre of the access to Kennet Mews for a distance of 4 metres in an easterly direction; b) To remove No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm on Kennet Place - south side - from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Town Mill for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction; c) To introduce Parking Monday to Sunday 8am-6pm Resident Permit Holders only or 2 hours No Return within 2 hours on i) Kennet Place -north side - from a point 6 metres east of the centre of the access to Kennet Mews for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction ii) Kennet Place - south side - from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Town Mill for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction. BROAD HINTON PATH (FORTUNES FIELD) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2024

The above order, made on 16 January 2024, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the path as shown in Wiltshire Council's Highway Record as a 'brown track' from Fortunes Field, Broad Hinton, at OSGR SU 1050-7670 leading in an east north easterly, then south south easterly direction to its junction with Broad Hinton Footpath 5, at OSGR SU 1071-7662. Width to be extinguished is the entire width shaded brown on Wiltshire Council's Highway Record. Approximate length 290m. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9pm to 5pm Monday to Friday by appointment.
