What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO.*) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to deter obstructive parking, improve traffic flow and general road safety, the general effect of the Free Order would be to introduce new lengths of 'at any time' waiting restrictions at the following locations below:

(a) at the junction of A1000 Great North Road and Lyonsdown Road EN5.

(b) Oakleigh Avenue N20 - The existing 'at any time' waiting restrictions on the east side Oakleigh Avenue N20, situated at the side of Nos.1 to 6 Highlands, Oakleigh Road North would be extended by approximately 10 metres.

(c) Oakleigh Road North N20 - outside No.104 to No.114 Oakleigh Road North.

(d) Oakleigh Road North N20 – opposite No.108 and No.110 Oakleigh Road North.

The general effect of the Prescribed route Order would be to prohibit traffic on Lyonsdown Road EN5 from turning right into A1000 Great North Road EN5.

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Further information on the proposals may be obtained by visiting the Barnet Traffweb website at www.barnettraffweb.co.uk or telephoning the Design Team on 020 8359 3555. Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments and quoting reference number BC/02250-21 (SCR559), to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
