(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO. 30) (EXPERIMENTAL)
ORDER 2024 (Order 3 of 2024)
Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation
22 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 as amended.
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that on 18th January 2024 it made an Order under
sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers.
2. The effect of the Order is to amend the Slough Borough Council Waiting Restrictions and Parking Places Order 2017 as set out in the attached schedule.
3. A new business permit holders only parking place would be introduced into a section of
Lakeside Road, operating between 8am and 8pm on all days.

4. The Order now made comes into force on 5th February 2024.
5. Copies of the order, this notice, a map which shows the location and effect of the order and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the order may be inspected on the Council’s website at

6. In due course the Council will consider whether the provisions of this Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. The Order provides that in pursuance of Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the delegated authority of Slough Borough Council, or some person authorised in that behalf, may if it appears essential in the interests
of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the Order runs, modify or suspend the Order or any provision thereof.
7. Anyone wishing to object to such a Permanent Order may do so within six months of the day on which this Order came into force. Any such objection must be made in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made, and be sent to the address below or emailing
parking.consultations@slough.gov.uk
8. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
