WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 26) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract at the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Skinner Lane, Lady Balk Lane, Monkhill Lane, Mill Dam Lane, North Baileygate, Northgate, Skinner Lane and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22.00 hours on 29th January 2024 until 05.00 hours on 30th January 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CEDAR WALK FOOTPATH, KNOTTINGLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)  ORDER (NO 27) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for the upgrade of the underground gas network to be carried out on or near Cedar Walk Footpath, Knottingley, at the back of 15 Cedar Walk to the back of 1 Cedar Walk, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.

Alternative route for pedestrians: Access to properties will be maintained via the fronts of the houses.

The order comes into operation on 31st January 2024 until 13th February 2024

(LINDEN TERRACE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 29) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Linden Terrace, Pontefract for approximately 10 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Linden Terrace.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Halfpenny Lane, Lime Tree Avenue, Love Lane and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th January 2024 to 23rd February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGH STREET, SOUTH HIENDLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 31) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for footway patching to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, South Hiendley from Main Street to lamp column 6. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Elizabeth Avenue, Regent Street, Brierley Road, Main Street, High Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th January 2024 to 2nd February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LEEDS ROAD, GLASSHOUGHTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 39) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Glasshoughton, at the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Bruce Smeaton Way, Cutsyke Road, Aketon Road, Leeds Road & vice versa. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th February 2024 at 22.00 hours to 13th February 2024 at 05.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CARLETON ROAD, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 40) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carleton Road, Pontefract, for approximately 59 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carleton Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Carleton Road, Swanhill Lane,

Monument Lane, West Drive, The Circle, East Drive, Chequerfield Lane, Eastbourne View, Furlong Lane, Marlpit Lane, Carleton Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th February 2024 to 18th February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SECOND AVENUE, FITZWILLIAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 41) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out structural lining & rehabilitation of the combined sewer network to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Second Avenue, Fitzwilliam, from Catherine Street to Ella Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Second Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Catherine Street, First Avenue, Ella Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th February 2024 to 16h February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(PONTEFRACT ROAD, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  ORDER (NO 42) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out remedial & resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Pontefract Road, Pontefract, at the junction with the Hawthorns and Pontefract Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Pontefract Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Pontefract Road, Castleford Lane, B6136 Stranglands Lane, Spittal Hardwick Lane, Monkhill Lane, Ferrybridge Road, Pontefract Road & vice versa. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th February 2024 from 08.00 hours to 16.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(REDHILL MOUNT, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 32) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for lead renewal to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Redhill Mount, Castleford for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Redhill Mount.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 31st January 2024 to 2nd February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
