NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A DIVERSION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119
(STAPLEFORD 14) DIVERSION ORDER 2023
On 14th December 2023, Hertfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public bridleway running from TL 2983 1719 NW along the driveway to Great Gobions Farmhouse and passing W of the Farmhouse for approx 110m to TL 2978 1728 then W passing N of the farmyard for approx 185m to TL 2960 1727, to a line running from Stapleford Bridleway 14 and Gobions Lane at TL 2983 1719, passing through a gap in the hedge on the field boundary at TL 2983 1718 then W and NW on the S side of the field boundary for approx 270m to rejoin Stapleford Bridleway 14 at TL 2960 1727, as shown on the Order Plan.
A copy of the order and the order plan may be seen free of charge at front reception of Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Hertford, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Monday to Friday, at www.eastherts.gov.uk/highways-and-parking/public-path-orders and at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/rowapps. Copies of the order and plan may be bought from Hertfordshire County Council at the price of £5.
The Order comes into force as from 25th January 2024, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 25th January 2024, make an application to the High Court.
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH BRAUGHING 36
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Braughing 36, for an approximate distance of m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network
The purpose of the Order is to enable highway maintenance works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 26 January 2024 for up to 5 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOSANQUET ROAD, HODDESDON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bosanquet Road, Hoddesdon from a point 22m south east of its junction with Rye Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Bosanquet Road, Rye Road, Cecil Road, Salisbury Road and Bosanquet Road.
The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1368 (UNNAMED ROAD), HARE STREET) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1368 (unnamed road), Hare Street from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Wayside House’ south eastwards for a distance of approximately 29m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B1368 (unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road/Hare Street Road/High Street/Baldock Road), A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road) and B1368 (Buntingford Road/Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End/Hay Street/Dassels/Dassels Hill/ unnamed road).
The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH FRONTING NOS.68-92 STANSTEAD ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting Nos.68-92 Stanstead Road, Hertford from a point in line with the western boundary of No.86 Stanstead Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.68-92 Stanstead Road, the footway situated on the south side of B1502 Stanstead Road and the footpath fronting Nos.68-92 Stanstead Road.
The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 February 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DARK LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dark Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with Franklin Avenue northwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Dark Lane, Cromwell Avenue, Churchgate, B156 Goffs Lane and Dark Lane.
The Order is needed because excavation works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B181 ROYDON ROAD, STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B181 Roydon Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with A414 Eastwick Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B181 High Street, a distance of approximately 1362m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B181 (Roydon Road/High Street/Station Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue), A1169 Elizabeth Way, Roydon Road, Harlow Road and B181 High Street.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRCTIONS IN MELVYN CLOSE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Melvyn Close, Goffs Oak from its junction with Newgatestreet Road north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length, except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A10 GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD, TURNFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Turnford from its junction with the B156 Halfhide Lane roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 138m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B156 Halfhide Lane, B176 High Road and A10 Great Cambridge Road.
The Order is needed because utility installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOLY CROSS HILL, WORMLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Holy Cross Hill, Wormley from its junction with Cheshunt Public Footpath No.030 south westwards to its junction with Beaumont Road, a distance of approximately 397m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Holy Cross Hill, West End Road, White Stubbs Lane, C54 (unnamed road), Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street, Darnicle Hill, Hammondstreet Road, Smiths Lane, Appleby Street, Park Lane Paradise and Holy Cross Hill.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD, HERTINGFORDBURY, TEWIN, HODDESDON, STANDON AND STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Riversmeet, Hertford from its junction with A414 Hertingfordbury Road south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of A414 Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its junction with the A119 Cross Lane roundabout north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 190m.
An alternative route will be via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/ Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), the A1(M) and A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/ Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/ Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), B197 (Monkswood Way/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), A1000 (Welwyn Bypass Road/ Hertford Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells), B195 (Black Fan Road/Cole Green Lane/ Birchall Lane) and A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road).
3. that length of Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its junction with the A414 Cole Green Bypass/A414 Hertingfordbury Road roundabout south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards, to its junction with A414 Cole Green Bypass, a distance of approximately 1112m.
An alternative route will be via A414 Cole Green Bypass.
4. that length of The Old Coach Road, Hertford from its junction with Hertingfordbury Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 714m.
An alternative route will be via Hertingfordbury Road, St Marys Lane, B158 Lower Hatfield Road, Station Road, Letty Green, Cole Green and The Old Coach Road.
5. that length of Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its southernmost junction with St Marys Lane westwards for a distance of approximately 89m.
An alternative route will be via Hertingfordbury Road, St Marys Lane, B158 Lower Hatfield Road, Station Road, Letty Green, Cole Green, The Old Coach Road and Hertingfordbury Road.
6. that length of St Marys Lane, Hertingfordbury from its southernmost junction with Hertingfordbury Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 124m.
An alternative route will be via Hertingfordbury Road, St Marys Lane, B158 Lower Hatfield Road, Station Road, Letty Green, Cole Green, The Old Coach Road and Hertingfordbury Road.
7. that length of Foxholes Avenue, Hertford from its junction with B1502 Stanstead Road south westwards to its junction with Braziers Field, a distance of approximately 262m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of B1502 Stanstead Road, Hertford from its junction with the A119 Ware Road roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 194m.
An alternative route will be via A119 Ware Road, A414 (London Road/Rush Green Link) and B1052 Stanstead Road.
9. that length of Lower Road, Tewin from its junction with Upper Green south eastwards, south westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 364m.
An alternative route will be via Upper Green Road, Upper Green, Orchard Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Hertford Road, B1000 Hertford Road and Hertford Road or via Upper Green Road, Upper Green, Orchard Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Hertford Road, B1000 Hertford Road, Churchfield Road and School Lane.
10. that length of Davies Street, Hertford from its junction with Railway Place south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
11. that length of Railway Place, Hertford from its junction with A119 Ware Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 145m.
An alternative route will be via A119 Ware Road, Townshend Street, Railway Street and Railway Place.
12. that length of B158 (Mill Bridge/The Wash/Parliament Square/Castle Street), Hertford from its junction with B158 Old Cross south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A414 Gascoyne Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 314m.
An alternative route will be via B158 (Old Cross/Cowbridge/Port Hill/Bengeo Street/ Wadesmill Road), A602 Westmill Road, A10 (unnamed road), B1502 Stanstead Road, A119 Ware Road and A414 Gascoyne Way.
13. that length of Priory Close, Hoddesdon from its junction with A1170 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
14. that length of Bentley Road, Hertford from its junction with Lawrence Close north eastwards to its junction with The Ridgeway, a distance of approximately 127m.
An alternative route will be via Bentley Road, B1000 Welwyn Road, Windsor Drive, Calton Avenue and Bentley Road.
15. the service road fronting Nos.82-140 Bentley Road, Hertford from its junction with Bentley Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with The Ridgeway, a distance of approximately 79m.
An alternative route will be via Bentley Road and The Ridgeway.
16. that length of High Street, Standon from its junction with A120 Stortford Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Paper Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 363m.
An alternative route will be via A120 (Stortford Road/Standon Road), Standon Road, The Ash, The Ford, C15 (unnamed road), Bromley Lane and Hadham Road.
17. that length of Chambers Street, Hertford from its junction with B158 Cowbridge north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
18. that length of B158 (Cowbridge/Port Hill), Hertford from its junction with Hartham Lane north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 259m.
An alternative route will be via B158 (Cowbridge/Old Cross/Mill Bridge/The Wash/ Parliament Square/Castle Street), A414 Gascoyne Way, A119 Ware Road, B1502 Stanstead Road, A10 (unnamed road), A602 Westmill Road and B158 (Wadesmill Road/ Bengeo Street/Port Hill).
19. that length of Amwell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 Station Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 482m.
An alternative route will be via B181 Station Road, A1170 Pepper Hill, Lower Road and Amwell Lane.
20. that length of Meridan Way, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with Amwell Lane north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
21. that length of Churchfield Road, Tewin from its junction with B1000 Hertford Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Margery Lane, a distance of approximately 936m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 Hertford Road, Hertford Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Orchard Road, Upper Green, Upper Green Road, Lower Green, School Lane and Churchfield Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1197 LONDON ROAD, HERTFORD HEATH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1197 London Road, Hertford Heath from its easternmost junction with the A414 London Road/A414 Rush Green Link roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A414 Rush Green Link, A10 (unnamed road/Hoddesdon Link Road), A1170 Amwell Street and B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road).
The Order is needed because street lighting repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
