What is happening?
THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
(Various Roads in Reigate) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
On 23 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-named Order, under section 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a 20mph speed limit on the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. The speed limit proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.
A copy of the made Order, which will come into operation on 05 February 2024, together with the plan showing the length of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected free of charge at (1) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by appointment only; (2) Reception, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, Town Hall, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SH, during normal office hours; and (3) Reigate Library, Bancroft House, Bancroft Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 7RP, during normal opening hours.
Schedule
(a) the entire length of Holmesdale Road (D1252) Reigate; (b) the entire length of Warren Road (D1212) Reigate; (c) the entire length of Mark Street (D1215) Reigate; (d) the entire length of Birkheads Road (D1211) Reigate (e) the entire length of Oak Road (D1215) Reigate; (f) the entire length of Alma Road (D1211) Reigate; (g) the entire length of Beverley Heights (D1211) Reigate; (h) that length of Wray Park Road (D1214) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1211) Alma Road to its junction with (D1210) Brightlands Road.
